Very nice property manager who is super helpful and present at the property to handle things immediately. There is a pool, bathrooms, playground, dumpsters, dog park, and laundry on-site. There is also Wi-Fi available, but our spot was too far in the back to be able to utilize it. Quiet and easy-going place to stay for 1 night or 1 month. Laundry cost $1.75 for a wash load and $1.75 for a dry load.

Spots in the center are pull through, while spots on the border are back in. All spots seem quite large, allowing for a small yard and 2 cars at every spot.

We’re originally from the area, but have since moved away are we’re traveling through the area in our TT and needed a place to stay for the night. Decided on this camping area due to its proximity to everything- local restaurants, Metra line into Chicago, grocery, etc. There were 6 spots located in a small camping loop. However, ever spot is situated so that they are spaced out well and fairly private from one another. 1-3 seem to be closest together. 5 and 6 have paved pads, while 1-4 are gravel. On-site staff available 24 hours and your stay comes with 1 free bundle of firewood. Firewood is also available onsite for purchase, along with area guides in the office. Bathroom and showers on-site, but it didn’t appear there was water hookup at the site. Sewer hookup and 50/30 amp available. We stayed at site 4 and had many electrical issues in the early morning. The surge protector kept shutting the power off due to identifying electrical issues. Tried switching from 50 to 30 amp and still had issues. Other than that, peaceful stay and highly recommend!

Called to book last minute, after needing a place to stay for the night while traveling through. Owner was helpful and took payment over the phone once we arrived. Quiet and peaceful park with no issues at all. Upon arrival, a resident came over to see if we needed help, and another came out of his trailer to ask if we needed a flashlight since we arrived after dark. Stayed in a middle pull through spot. It appeared that the exterior perimeter spots may have more space in between, if that’s what you’re looking for. Would stay again, either long term or for the night.

Very easy access off of the highway. Stayed in the 20s row and it was a huge pull-thru site that was level. Booked online and we were able to pick our spot and check in online, so no need to stop at the office. All of the neighbors were very nice and the park was peaceful for our one night stop. Lots of large garage bins at the end of each lane. Larger grass yard area in between each spot.

Pros:
-site was pull-through, clean, and relatively private as our door faced the forest (exercise caution, as those spots in the loop are lacking privacy)
-easy access to lots of forest walking paths
-small swimming/fishing lake (seems a bit on the dirtier side due to size and lack of water flow)
-Walmart was 15 minutes away (can take highway or scenic route through small business area)
-really nice trash/recycling area (separated recycling was nice to see!!)
Cons:
-none, really… camp host meets you at the site upon arrival and be warned gate do do close at dusk so call in arrangements

-Stayed at campsite 57, which is the last site in the loop (right near entrance after taking the one-way road all the way around).
-While spot parking pad was level, the pad itself was small. The entire space only had enough room for the trailer itself and the tow vehicle. Most spaces could only contain tow vehicle + trailer, no extra vehicle parking at the site and parking on anything other than the paved pad was prohibited. There is some extra parking spread throughout the campground, but not immediately close to the space we were in.
-Mostly full on a Friday night, but quiet and easy to view stars at night.
-Observed deer and armadillo at campsites and throughout the campground (at 9:30+ P.M.).
-Challenging to view posted site numbers (it would be helpful if they used a glow in the dark paint or placed the numbered posts closer to the one-way drive so they can be read easier in the dark). Also- left side parking space on the one-way seem impossible to read, as they seem to be facing the opposite direction they need to be.
-Limited privacy at these sites.

-We stayed 1 night at site 16, which is the highest, most elevated site closest to the side of the mountain.
-Site is sized well and easily fits 2 vehicles and a trailer all side by side.
-Site has a covered picnic table and dedicated site garbage can.
-Quite a lot of bug activity when we stayed (large ants, wasps, and flies).
-Drive paths and sites are pea gravel— so very slippery! Had a challenging time backing into the site with a 2 wheel drive truck. Incline at site 16 did not help the matter. Could be messy and challenging after a rainfall.
-Drive in to campground contains a lot of low dipping roads, which may cause an issue with flooded roadways after a rain.
-Got 5G internet with T-Mobile at the campsite.
-Public restroom area was clean and well stocked (toilet paper and hand washing soap accessible in the restroom).
-Well maintained sites and general campsite areas.
-20 minute drive from campsite to Deming shopping area (Dollar General, AutoZone, etc.).

Stayed overnight in spot 40, which has a 30 and 50 amp option. There seems to be a fire pit and cooking pit at each site. There are walking paths throughout the park and there was only 1 other camper during the snowy winter day in March. The spots all seem to be back in, but navigating the loop is easy. Originally was going to camp in spot 39, but found that spot to be oddly shaped and not ideal to back in our 30 FT TT. In the summer there is a lake and food store/restaurant. There is a Walmart, Ace Hardware, and gas station within about 5-15 minutes. Carlinville is about 15 minutes away and has a cute downtown area with shops and places to eat- worth the short drive to explore!

Pros:
-large swimming lake
-nice camp hosts
-site includes grill, fire pit, 50/30 AMP, and water
Cons:
-site had a nice view of the lake obstructed by 2 sites tightly situated next to site 1 (can hear any they make the sites are so close)
-lack of maintenance (potholes on road, odd rocks everywhere, pad was in meh condition)
-road in is very tight and site pad also on the smaller side width-wise

Pros:
-The lake is walkable.
-The town is very cute, has places to eat and plenty of shopping to pick up groceries or supplies.
-Our spot (12) had 30 and 50 AMP option.
-Gravel pad at spot 12.
-Easy access off the highway, after taking a few small county and town roads.

Cons:
-No arrows on roads indicating what direction to go, and spot numbers only on one side of site (when roads go alongside on both sides), make it hard to navigate.
-Spots are very small in the 10-13 RV loop area.
-Shared electric boxes and tight spaces, allowing for very little privacy.
-The non-pull through spots seems very small. Probably really only ideal for 20 ft or less RV to be comfortable with maneuverability.
