First of all, there are several camping options - FHU, W&E only and No Hookups. We stayed in the no hook-up area which is right on the river. $20 is expensive for no utilities, but the spots are literally on the river and comes with a shelter and picnic table. Plus, we used the dump station on our way in (from boondocking in Lake Havasu) and again on the way out.

It's also only a 2 mile walk to Laughlin if casinos are your thing. Even if you don't gamble, there are so many casinos they compete for your attention with some good restaurants, cheap drinks and live entertainment.

There is a laundry mat on site as well ($1 each for washer and dryer). AT&T (116 down / 25 up) was a little stronger than Verizon, but both worked well and we were able to get lots of work done (and stream some shows).

Overall, it's a great spot to dump your tanks, fill up with water and get some laundry done before heading back out on the road. Would be a great place to stay overnight to take care of the above mentioned, or to spend a week enjoying the Colorado River as we did. The only drawback for us was the wind - which was relentless for several days before calming down.

Nice, clean park with easy access. All utilities worked well. However, the park is between Hwy 14 and a railroad track - making for noisy nights. Also, they have coin-operated showers. Seriously? $50 per night and you have to pay for a shower?

Nice park, but we would check out other RV parks and campgrounds in the area next time.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Very spacious sites with lots of grass and trees - perfect for napping in your hammocks. They have clean bathrooms with large showers. Our site had a strong Wifi signal and Verizon was 4 bars without the WeBoost, which made for a very productive week of work.

Only (slight) drawback was the train noise. It wouldn't deter us from coming back, but it does pass by the park throughout the night.

When reading negative reviews about this campground (on here or other platforms), take into consideration new ownership took over in Dec 2018. The park now has completely remodeled bathrooms, laundry room, and pool. Plus, they have a small (but well stocked) convenience store that also sells propane.

Some sites have lots of room and a grassy area. Other sites are a little more cramped. Some shade and nice views. All utilities work well - including the Wifi from our site.

The park is at the end of town and only about a mile from several nice restaurants. Kanab has an ACE hardware and 2 grocery stores for replenishing supplies.

There are a couple of nice boondocking locations within 45 minutes north and south of here, so this park is a great place to spend a couple of nights to dump/fill your tanks and get some laundry done. Oh, and a dip in the pool after a week of off-grid camping will be a bonus.

Verizon = 8.9 down / 9.8 up
ATT = 7.4 down / 2.2 up

This is another very good park in the Arizona State Park system. Spacious sites and great views of Picacho Peak make this a nice place to visit. There isn't a lot to do in the immediate area, but there are a couple of nice hikes in the park. The Saguaro National Park is an easy drive, but groceries/laundry are 30 minutes away.

All sites have picnic tables and fire pits - some have ramadas for shade. When it comes to utilities, each site has electric. There is no sewer at the site, but there is dump station. The big bummer is their water situation. As of this writing, the website says there is a water shortage and to come with full tanks. The reality is water will no longer be provided and all water at the sites have been removed. However, the showers in the restrooms still work.

For cell coverage, Verizon worked better (79.8 Dn / 6.8 Up) then AT&T (45.3 Dn / 15.3 Up). Wifi antennas are spaced throughout the park and is available for a fee.

Overall, this is a very nice park for a couple for a couple of days. Without water at the site, it will limit some smaller rigs from staying longer. Also, depending on the location of your site, noise can be heard in the distance from cars on Interstate 10 and the train track adjacent to it.

We really enjoyed this campground. Great setting with lots of trees and spacious sites. All utilities worked well - including Wifi. We were able to use all our business apps to get work done. The owner (Jeff) is one of the friendliest people we have met in a long time. Only negative was the coin-operated showers. Its only $0.25 for 2 1/2 minutes, but paying for a shower after dropping $256 (7 nights) leaves a bad taste. That said, we wouldn't hesitate to come back. Lots of great hikes in the area. If you want a nicely prepared meal, check out the Blackboard Bistro.

Bonus: adjacent to the park is a car wash with a bay tall enough for a motorhome.

The Arizona State Park system is so good, it's hard to pick a favorite. But, if we had to, Lake Havasu would probably be at the top of the list for a couple of reasons. First, the park itself is top notch with easy access off of Hwy 95. Sites are big and level with plenty of space between your neighbors. Amenities include electric (30/50) & water at the site and a dump station with water near the "cabin loop." They've also recently rebuilt their bathrooms with the individual design concept (shower, toilet and sink in each room) and a nice dishwashing station at one end.

There are several camping options here - premium lakefront on the outside, standard sites on the inside (most have lake views) and a dry camping/overflow area down by the marina (asphalt parking lot). They also recently added several cabins - each with a spot for an RV (including W/E hookups). The cabins look like a great option for larger families. There is one main room that has 2 bunk beds and a large counter with plug-ins. There is no kitchen, but you could bring a hot plate, coffee pot, etc. There is larger bed in a separate bedroom in the back. No bathrooms in the cabins, but there is a bathhouse in the center of the loop.

There is no Wifi in the park, but we had good cell service - AT&T 157.4 down / 13.8 up and Verizon 42.4 down / 12.2 up. We had no problem with work apps or streaming. Our neighbors said they got more OTA channels than any other State Park.

The second thing we like about this park is the town of Lake Havasu City. With the lake and the nearby foothills/mountains there are endless opportunities to enjoy the outdoors (there is even a water toy rental shop on the premises). Also, there is a surprising food and entertainment scene for a town of its size. From Tavern 95 at the southend of town to Hangar 24 at the north end, lots of great food. Cha-Bones has a great 1/2 off appetizer menu for happy hour - including all day on Sunday - and is walking distance from the park (0.7 mile).

For entertainment, don't miss the Flying X, Jermey's Juke Joint, or BJ's Catina (Sundays). An added plus is the number of festivals that happen throughout the year at the day use area adjacent to the campground. There was a Rock-a-billy festival during our stay and we could hear the bands from our spot.

The park is sold out daily during the winter, so plan ahead or be okay with the asphalt overflow area.

Maybe it was because we were here after the Labor Day crowds had left, but we got a nice spot on the river. They provide better than average sized spaces with a gravel pad for the RV, a concrete patio (with a picnic table) and an asphalt pad for a vehicle. All utilities worked well. Wifi was strong enough to use business apps for work and cell service was strong enough to stream content.

We really enjoyed the town of Brookings and this park is conveniently located to so many things. It is also just up the road from a nice marina that has a nice coffee shop and a couple of good restaurants.

Not much in the way of facilities. The office has a little social space and a few supplies. The laundry room has 3 washers and 4 dryers. The shower facility is very nice and super clean - but, they do charge $0.25 for 8 minutes.

Every now and again we enjoy an "urban" campground. It's always fun to explore a new town by foot or bike when possible. Granted, Columbia Falls isn't a very big town, but there are a couple of nice restaurants within a 1/2 mile of the campground. If you like live music, the Gunsight Saloon has bands every evening during the summer season.

The location is a great launching point for exploring - Glacier NP, Whitefish Lake, downtown Whitefish, Flathead Lake.....and so much more. Be sure to venture up the road to the town of Hungry Horse and grab yourself a Huckleberry shake.

The park itself is standard with both back-ins and pull-throughs. The gravel sites are level and long enough for big rigs. A small patch of grass separates you from your neighbor and comes with a redwood picnic bench. The hook-ups are up towards the front of the rig. Good Wifi helped us get some work done without burning our cellular data.

We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, but would most likely look for something up in the mountains just to get a different experience.

Very clean park that is well laid out with enough space between you and your neighbor. All utilities worked well, but there is no cable, only OTA. The clubhouse and workout room have cable. There are several WiFi boosters throughout the park making it easy to get work done without burning up cellular data - which you can save for streaming as they don't allow that on their WiFi.

Far enough out of town to enjoy quiet, starry nights - yet close enough to town for restaurants, casinos, groceries, etc.

Note: 5 bars on Verizon with WeBoost.
