Pay showers at an RV resort, really?? We stayed at 5 other RV parks this trip & never encountered having to put coins in for the shower. Park was clean & hosts were very nice but the park has lots of freeway noise, especially from semi trucks with air brakes. Between the traffic & the train going by, we didn't get much sleep. We didn't really see other options in this area of the gorge & the location was convenient.

Okay, starting out with a couple warnings. The RV park is so named because of its location just on the other side of the Hood River Bridge which a) costs $1 either way you cross it and 2) is super narrow and has a grated roadway. That being said, what's a couple bucks for access to a nice walking downtown on Oak St in Hood River, and you can treat yourself to a strong beer at one of the many breweries to calm your nerves.

The park is basic but has what you need. Good laundry, hookups, pet area. The only caveat is that (and they warned us about this) looooooong trains go by on the tracks between the park and the river. While they don't blow their whistles, they are pretty darn loud and even shake the ground at the water view sites. If this seems like a problem, see what they have a few rows away, though you'll be moving closer the road.

Park is on the Washington side of the Columbia River, right between WA Hwy 14 and the BNSF railroad tracks. The trains run several times day and night. We love trains so they don't bother us. If you're sensitive to noise this may not be a great place for you. Pretty basic RV park in good repair and always clean. Spacious and very clean bathroom/showers. Showers are an additional cost. Wi Fi is good and there is cable TV. We don't travel with a TV so do not know anything about the channel line up.

The town of Hood River and the Hood River Valley is fun to explore. Bette's Place was good for breakfast. The Mt Hood Railroad offers a nice tour of the area too. The Washington side has some small towns that are interesting to explore. Fishing on the Columbia is always popular.

Now to get from Bridge RV to Hood River you have to cross a very narrow metal grated bridge deck across the Columbia River. It can be a white knuckle crossing.

Nice park with friendly owners. Big dog walk area and usually not busy so could probably throw the ball. Close to a fun Fish Hatchery where you can find a secluded spot (Park near the first Fish Hatchery sign which is just beyond the state park boundary) to take the dog in the water also good place to watch the windsurfers and such.

I came from the east so got off at The Dalles exit and traveled across the Gorge area to Highway 14, then west to the park. I am certainly glad that I didn't have to take the bridge across towing with the trailer. However I observed people doing it but taking it very slowly. It would definitely be a white knuckle experience, especially if passing those logging trucks.

There is grassy area in between sites. Bathrooms were clean and modern. My site was up near the front so didn't hear the trains as much but sometimes could hear trucks on the highway. Overall, a nicely managed park with good access to points around Hood River area, including the little town of White Salmon that had a very good grocery store.

Very small, clean RV park right over the bridge on the Washington side between White Salmon and Hood River. Like everywhere in the Gorge, you're going to get train and road noise. Park was immaculate and owners were very friendly.

We had a great spot and we really enjoyed the pet walking area. It's nice to have a place to take an active dog to play! The location was great, giving you access to Hood River, White Salmon and tons of local hikes including Dog Mountain (ouch!) Great breweries, easy access to shopping, and close enough to Portland if you wanted to venture into town. We like it so much we extended our stay for an extra week. Excellent wifi! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, and we enjoyed watching the resident bald eagle (although we never got a really good picture of him!). As mentioned in other posts, the train is very close, but it doesn't blow its horn and we got used to it after a couple of days. Great place to stay!

It is impossible to stay along the Columbia River Gorge and not have train noise. This park included. While trains don’t typically blow the horn when passing - they are constantly passing. Throughout the day and night. Outside of it being noisy and a bit pricey this park is great. It’s a smaller park. Super clean. Probably the cleanest grounds and bathrooms ( bring quarters if you want to shower) I’ve seen. The grass is green. Grounds well manicured. Great area for dogs. And you are right across the bridge from Hood River with lots of places to explore-trails, biking, parks and the town is great with shops, restaurants, breweries! The bridge costs $2 to cross every time-coming or going. So bring some singles too. The location is the draw for this park. I loved are spot space 22 overlooked dog area, no neighbors to the left, larger lawn area the trade off is you get a front row seat to trains passing. Good WiFi and perfect cell service.

Nice, clean park with easy access. All utilities worked well. However, the park is between Hwy 14 and a railroad track - making for noisy nights. Also, they have coin-operated showers. Seriously? $50 per night and you have to pay for a shower?

Nice park, but we would check out other RV parks and campgrounds in the area next time.

In this quarantine trailer craze, we were in a pinch to find a location to camp for our weeklong vacation.

We were fortunate to find this full hookup place in a great locale, across from Hood River, along the Columbia River which, in itself, is a playground.

Unfortunately, it’s adjacent to highway 14 and gas station (slightly noisy) and offers limited outdoor space nor scenery. Each space offers 45-55 feet of length space, which unfortunately means limited width space. Enough for a picnic table, maybe. Most have a patch of grass outside of your doorstep.

I guess if you love Hood River and all it’s offerings more than RV space, this is your spot. I’d go for space 21 (or nearby, but possibly railroad noise) or 8.

FYI, no river access.

A very clean facility that’s great for a one or two night stay; being located between train tracks and a highway makes this a somewhat noisy location and a challenging nighttime sleep. The laundry facility was clean, orderly, and reasonably priced. Our Good Sam membership discount made this a bit more affordable for us. We will likely stay here again.
