We live fairly nearby so this is a place to come for us when we don’t have much time but want to get away. The spaces are small and close together but it’s right on the river and quiet and lovely. (Pretty windy in summer months though.) Rio Vista is “quaint.” Wi-Fi is good. Bathrooms are clean. Staff is very friendly. Lots of regulars — all very friendly

The park backs onto the highway so it’s fairly noisy from the traffic. But otherwise everything is great — a very short walk to the beach. Wi-Fi worked well. Showers and bathroom were clean.

We stayed here two night en route to our final destination in Southern California. It was fine — really quiet considering the proximity to the highway and trucking station. Wi-Fi wasn’t great. Showers/Toilets were adequate — clean. Staff was very friendly. Would definitely recommend as a layover point but otherwise there is nothing nothing nothing here but almond trees

I am sort of torn as to how to review this site. It was cute, nestled in the trees with some great cabin sites for non-trailer campers. The bathroom and shower facility was clean. The staff were pretty unfriendly though, and the Wi-Fi was awful. The biggest problems were how tightly packed in we were, and our neighbors were clearly long term residents.

There was a lot to like here: the spaces were large and it was truly an orange grove. The facilities were clean. The Wi-Fi was bad — weird set up that didn’t work even when we paid extra

We spent Xmas here and as such the park was pretty empty. But the staff was friendly and helpful (coffee and fresh baked muffins every morning!) and we will definitely be back. Absolutely beautiful view.

We stayed here the last weekend before the park closes for the winter. The weather was gorgeous — sunny and quite warm. The water in the swimming hole was really cold, but it was a wonderful place to go regardless. The park itself was very quiet, despite being right off Highway 49. (There was very little traffic, despite it being a holiday weekend.) The camp hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful. There wasn’t much shade in our spot, although other sites did seem to have a few more trees. But all-in-all, this place was wonderful and we will definitely be back again. Sierra City is off the main Tahoe tourist thoroughfare, and we really enjoyed our stay here. The big drawback: no AT&T signal and the WiFi was pretty slow. That said, we were trying to get away for the weekend, so this didn’t bother us much at all.
