Pulled in with the intention of staying one night, but had a slide failure and ended up staying two nights. Parked back in the far corner away from the fuel pumps and it was real quiet. Got the slide fixed by a local mobile RV tech and was on my way. I checked with the business and they had no issue with me being there…probably wouldn’t have even noticed since the place is so busy.
Reserved online and had a back in reserved. Upon arrival, I asked about a pull through and they were more than accommodating and moved me to one. Nice people and man was this place clean and quiet. Highly recommend if in the area.

Nice rest area. Pulled in about 9pm with my 42’ hauler and pushed slides out and went to bed. There were a couple sketchy vehicles but nobody bothered anything. Lots of trucks in here, so getting a good spot in the back corner can be challenging, but can be done as long as it’s not full. Was quiet and I slept like a rock.
Stopped on the east bound side. Pulled right up next to curb so my dog could go out on the grass. Beautiful rest area and one of the nicest I’ve ever stayed in. Ran my generator all. Right with AC on and nobody complained. Highway noise was very noticeable but it is a rest area.

Quiet and fairly level in most places. Found a spot away from the main store and parked for the night. Noticed a bus and few other makeshift campers that looked as though they were permanent residents, but they were quiet and did not bother me.
Stopped here on the way home from Oregon. Many reviews talk about the camp area on the east side of Hwy 6, but there are a few spots on the west side that have great views and are fairly level. The only downside is the train tracks are about 1/4 mile away so you might hear the trains. Beautiful westerly view of the mountains and the valley. No services but cell coverage was good.

I’ve read all these reviews and everybody keeps saying that if you’re coming from price when you get here, make the left and go past the gate and go down for 5 miles. I can also say that if you want to go to the right, you can also do that when you come to the cattleguard the very first campsite to your right it might be a little tough getting in and maneuvering around but what have you and its level. I go to Oregon quite often and I usually stop somewhere on the way back home and this will be my go to spot from now on.

Great location and easy access to the lot. Recommend parking in the SE or NE part of the lot to gain the furthest distance from the highway noise, which wasn’t bad to begin with. The lot is not level from East to West so I would park your unit facing North or South, but the lot does have a slope. There are no amenities other than security lighting which was nice to have. A fellow camper said security was around but I never saw them. We will definitely stay here again versus paying for an overpriced KOA.

This is a nice campground that I used during elk hunting. They do shut off the water in the lower camp during winter but it was great as long as you bring your own water. Next to the river which will be nice in the spring and summer for fishing.

I have stayed her three times during my hunting expeditions in Unit 48. It’s a bit of a drive to Angel Fire with a single lane road to the 434/120 split. The owners are very nice. Only pitfall is there are only partial hookups (water/electric) and 30 AMP only. For those with any trailer longer than 35 foot just keep in mind that spaces 5-10 will be a challenge in your trailer parking skills. I have a 42’ 5th wheel and it was a challenge getting it in, but with patience and a lot of checking my position I was able to get it in.
This place is fairly quiet except for the occasional loud vehicle on 434. Guess rednecks like ‘‘em loud.
