Arrived at 9 pm Saturday evening as a train was going by. It was dark, so I couldn’t see it, but it sounds like it’s less than 100 yards away.
Restaurant was still open and staff was great but bathroom was dirty and stinky.
There were 6 other RV’s here by 9:30. Feels safe but the road noise is significant.

Arrived at 9:45 pm, after store closed. Don’t think the other reviewer was at this location—no spaces in the back. In fact, so RV spaces were marked. It was between a $48/hotel (it’s 2024, no decent hotel is $48!) and a motel that looked worse. I drove around a second time and noticed a boarded up window. As I sat there, trying to decide if it was safe, I saw a guy pushing a shopping cart down the road. I just didn’t feel safe, I left. As I drove back the way I came, I realized there was a boarded up hotel across the street 2 doors down. I had to stop to let a man help someone across the street who was clearly tripping on drugs. I felt good about leaving. About 11 miles east on I-40, I found a nice, clean Cracker Barrel in Lakeland. I even saw a deer on the edge of the parking lot. Nice, large lot, well lit. Nice RV parking also.

Friendly staff let me know at check in that the 11 am checkout wasn’t strictly enforced and if I needed a little extra time, it wasn’t a problem. Also said I could get a much later checkout for a low price. Spot #55 was on the inside edge of a loop and I felt that the water and electric hookups could have been placed a little closer together, and further back for my teardrop. I didn’t use the water or sewer hookup, so I can’t say anything about it. The gravel site was level.
There was no picnic table at my site but it wasn’t a problem for me.
My site had puddles from the rain, but it was mostly not a problem.
The dog park was great.
The pool was inviting but I didn’t try it. There was some sort of recreational area just beyond the dog park, but I didn’t visit it either.
Laundry facilities were large.
The women’s restroom was clean despite a crowded campground.
The sites were a little closer together than I liked, but I didn’t notice any rowdy neighbors, so it must not have been that bad.
It is really a lovely park, with trees, areas to congregate outside of your own site, and a store onsite with water, ice, cleaning supplies, etc. I’ll visit there again.

This campground is very conveniently located off I-40. I stopped at the Pilot Station/Arby’s/Cinnabon for gas before checking in. Couldn’t ask for a better overnight stop. $47 with tax and my KOA discount got me a pull through 30/50 amp spot near the bathhouse per my request. Laundromat has 4 washers/$2.00 and 2 giant dryers/$0.25. There’s a nice looking pool, playground, sandpit(?) and a nice k-9 area. The sites are pretty tight but the campground is empty so it doesn’t bother me.
Sitting outside, I can hear the highway noise, but not inside my trailer with the a/c running. I can also hear crickets, cicadas and some kind of birds. Peaceful despite the highway noise.
Bathhouse is typical KOA. Could use renovations but are clean and work fine. The showers are slightly bigger than usual, and they have a dressing area. Toilets are fine too.

I only managed to get here about 45 minutes before sundown, but it is a lovely campground. Saw a small turtle crossing the road and an egret along the shore. Site 19 has a small concrete pad with 30/50 amp power. Didn’t hook up to water or sewer. There is a dump station.
Lots of fishing going on, but I just enjoyed the view.
Only about 10 minutes off of I-20.
One washer and dryer on the 2nd floor of the bathhouse. There is a ramp and stairs to the 2nd floor. Bathrooms are also upstairs. Clean but stuffy and hot. Only one working toilet in the women’s room. 3 showers but one has no door.
Will stay again. $27 on Thursday, 9/22/2022.

This is a very beautiful and peaceful campground with very spacious lots and mature trees. I’ve met several friendly people here.
The bathroom is ok, the showers look like your typical showers at an outdoor campground. It’s obviously cleaned frequently, but by the end of the day, the floors are pretty dirty. They are very spacious though, so that’s nice. Wear shower shoes and you will be fine. You’re here for the camping, not the showers.
Despite the less than appealing showers, the campground is amazing. Site 160 was one of the closest spots to the road, and while the road noise was tolerable in the afternoon, there was almost no noise after about 6:30. And even though my site was the closest to the road, it was still a good way away, with a massive amount of lawn between my spot and the road.
Plan to spend a few days here. It’s great!
