We camped here end of Jan 2018. The park changed ownership and or management very recently and changed their name to the Vineyards at Fredericksburg. The office person seemed overwhelmed to the point of yes or no answers to my queries while shuffling thru a pile of paperwork. Cons.: Half size picnic tables--- tiny gravel on driveway wouldn't allow traction to leveling blocks and tracked into coach--- extra charge if ck in b4 2 pm--- extreme lengths of sewer hook ups--- extreme hike (uphill) to bath or shower if anywhere over 1/4 of the way to back of park--- absurd hours of bath or shower, they are locked from 9:30 PM till 8:00 AM.--- published rates are $42 per night but if you ask for Good Sam discount they say "Oh, that includes the GS discount". That's Texas BS if I'm asked!--- weekly rates are 7 times the nightly rate. Again BS.--- 16 channel satellite/cable that doesn't work for everybody--- Highway noise was a problem OK, some Pros: very clean bath, showers, laundry and pool area--- convenient (end of your driveway) trash pick up--- fenced dog park--- the outdoor maintenance crew seemed to care and pay attention to details like raking the driveway after a departure--- Free Keurig coffee in office. We moved to another local campground and were treated much better and and we saved $120 for a 7 day stay. I would consider another stay here but not with the current rates and rules.

We enjoyed our 7 day stay and the $160 weekly rate. Even though the park is rough around the edges we found it worth every penny. We camped at Quiet Creek/ The Vineyards for the 2 days previous to our stay at Hill C. RV park and found it to be overpriced. We were so glad we moved. All the sites are level pull thru and FHU with good wi-fi and cable. The location was excellent (near Walmart and Whataburger) and quiet. The long term residents were older and kept to themselves. Some sites were unsightly and others had beautiful permanent tiny homes. The office staff was very helpful and friendly. The bathrooms were ok and the showers had plenty of hot water.
We enjoyed Enchanted Rock SP, the LBJ ranch and the National WW II Museum of the Pacific very much.

We stayed here in our 25' tt on Jan. 23, 2018. We were making a run to the warmth of Texas. The park has a great rate and (mostly) level pull thru sites, with concrete pads. We ate at the catfish restaurant and it was good (not great). The noise was bad but we made it thru the night. There are showers and toilets-- one boy and one girls--- but they were dirty and needed repair. The location made it easy in and out. The fhu utilities all worked great. No wi-fi great cell.

... that the owners have pride in their business. Our stay (late June 2022) was very pleasant. The park was not resort-like in any way, but was well done overall. Neat, clean nicely appointed. Everything worked great even if somewhat dated.

Our first ever wind energy laundry experience. Worked great but a tiny bit noisy. Also, our first ever RV park without a bath/showerhouse. Yeah, that's odd to me. The price paid includes a Good Sam 10% discount. Also odd that credit cards pay a higher rate. Our stay was in Feb 2018 and the North winds blew the Hondo train noise into camp. It was very noticeable to us but should not be a bother most of the year. The park was very well laid out and neat and clean as any I've seen. All utilities including wireless fidelity were perfect. The gardener deserves a raise. We felt very safe and secure. The owners and family seem to care and it shows. When he gave me a golf cart tour to choose a site I was shocked that there was no bathhouse. He realized that it was not disclosed in our phone conversations and kindly comped me a second night. An easy 5 star park if it had showers but a strong 4 stars without. The old school Raye Theater in Hondo was a hoot. The ticket booth was on the sidewalk out front and they even had a big red curtain that was pulled back when the movie started. We loved it.

This is a little off the beaten path but still in a great location. Our 'winter texan' stay began on Feb 1st 2020. When we made our reservations we were advised that the county gravel road was to be repaved before our arrival. That was not the case. There were potholes and bomb craters for that mile long torture track. It took 10 minutes to travel that mile. At no time did I touch the gas pedal.
Inside the park it's smooth concrete. They have a nice clubhouse and pool. The 2 private shower/toilet rooms were not very clean and mold surrounds the shower.
It's hard to call it a resort without decent cable tv, but the price seemed to take that into account. The Wi-Fi was free and good enough to stream Roku. Cell service was also quite good. We enjoyed our stay and the management (new) were hard working, friendly and helpful. The best thing that happened during our stay? They fixed the road!

Their web site doesn't give much info on this park. I don't know if they upgraded anything. More info may be forthcoming.

What a great little park. Restroom and showers worked great. Plenty of room and parking on the paved pads. We camped in Feb. 2018 and were surprised at the large # of fishing boats on the lake. We saw plenty of deer and a fox. It worked as a base to explore New Braunfels, Gruene, San Marcos, Guadalupe SP and it's beautiful river, Wimberly, Dripping Springs and of course San Antonio. The trips back to camp became tedious as the camp is pretty far off the main roads. On one of those trips back into the park we came in view of the entrance gate and saw a traffic jam. As it turned out the gate attendant would not let any of the registered campers to re-enter untill he finished processing in a new camper. There was one road in and one road out. I was the 8th car in line and got tired of waiting so I walked up to the "guard shack" and asked Sarge if we could go in on the out lane. He told me tersly, "absolutely not". Some people waited 25 minutes. I can't wait to go back to Cranes Mills but I hope Santa is at the North Pole.

America the Beautiful 'geezer pass' is the best deal in the Western hemisphere. We stayed 1 night in Jan 2019 and 2 nights on the way back in March. All the waterfront sites were taken. I think they just installed sewer in one lakefront loop and will do the other loop this year (it's closed now). Lots of recently pruned mature trees and plenty of room between sites. No camp host but saw ranger cruise through a coupla times. No guard shack. Just fill out form and pay the 'iron ranger'. We felt safe. Bathrooms dated but fully functional. Some tables on wrong side of trailer, but not a big deal. Bad cell great ota tv. I give 4 stars because I don't think a true 5 star exists at less than $40, which is the most I want to pay.

Man, it was loud, too! LOL Nice Mo S.P.. Great hot weather place to go just North of Kansas City, Mo.. They have a lake w/swim beach, fishing and trails galore. None of the sites have water or sewer but it's available. The shower houses and restrooms were spotless and functional. The camp hosts were helpful, hardworking and friendly. The Mo website lists Wi-Fi in the park but when I asked the host about it she laughed. It does not exist. Most of the driveways are nicely graveled but fall off sharply on both sides. Be careful after dark. Plenty of things to do in the immediate area. Oh yeah, the $8.50 fee to do my own, on-line reservation irks me.
