This spot is well used by truckers and travelers on the road. With the idling truck noise, it may not be for light sleepers. However, it’s a large gravel/dirt parking area with lots of room. There is garbage left by inconsiderate people and while I was here, a wreck of a car parked right in front of me and started screaming at people. I was blocked and unable to leave. I will not stay here again.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a beautiful park along the Columbia River in Woodland. Wa. Just down Dyke Access road exit from Walmart.
But, it wasn’t until after I paid that I found out that I could not use the sewer. Apparently their one of many rules is that you have to have a completely closed sewer hose. I have a 2020 Winnebago which has a macerator and the macerator hose is three times smaller than a regular sewer hose. Therefore, it’s not a closed system. Its a drop-in.
If you have a macerator hose instead of the normal sewer hose, you are out of luck here. Go somewhere else. But if you don’t mind that inconvenience, its a nice over night spot.

There were many red flags prior to my stay but I was unable to find a spot anywhere else, so I settled. The manager doesn’t manage and admitted to me that she doesn’t know to much or even how to manage the park. Others in the park have informed me that they were told to fix problems themselves.
There is no Wifi, No cable and AT&T hardly gets two-bars. This park doesn’t serve nightly visitors. Long term is 535.00 a month plus electric. Way too much for what you get. I was told the management doesn’t clean the restrooms and the community has done it themselves at times.
Also. there was an additional charge of 100.00 which I have no idea what it was for. They do not take credit cards and require a money order or cashiers check for the balance upfront.
The only positives: It’s half mile walk to the beach, no kids, and very quiet. I would only stay here again if they lowered the price to reflect what you get.

I came to Big River RV park in the month of Feb, 2022. A short month with a price of 375.00 + electric. Divide 28 into 375.00 to see how much I paid for site #72. Keep in mind that it is always cheaper to stay a month than a few days. I’m sure a daily price is much higher.

I saw that one review said it was an “OLD MOBILE HOME PARK”. In my experience, I saw no mobile homes. However, there are some Park Models.
There are more RV’s than Park Models.

This is not an RV resort. There is no pool, no sauna, no hot tub, no pickle-ball courts.

There is an exercise room, Laundry facilities, Library and a tiny convenient store. There is ice for sale and reverse osmosis water for sale. There are showers and restrooms.

The negative is that there is large uncovered garbage bins which when the wind blows, launches garbage out to blow along the hillside and park.

There are dogs which are mostly kept on leash and are well behaved. One incidence where a dog that was leashed but not secured bolted toward my shihtzu and attacked. This was the dog-owners fault and not the park.

There is UPS, FEDEX and USPS.

I would stay here again in a pinch but not for longer than a month.
