This lot appears to be maintained by Walmart, but that is unknown. It is adjacent to the Walmart and half fenced in with two entrances. It is used extensively by trucks. Park out of the way at the end of the lot. It is about 150' x 400'.
If you park in the Walmart lot past 10:00, you will get the knock from security, but they will direct you to the empty lot to stay overnight.

Plenty of room. Make space for big Riggs. Verizon’s phone went between 5G and 3 bars LTE.

After leaving Calico Park as it was a nightmare, we struggled to find a quiet nite and it was the adjacent parking lot to Walmart. Will stay on our return.

We arrived here at 1 am on our way to Flagstaff come from Los Angeles. There were a number of trucks already here but plenty of room. It is a gravel lot adjacent to Walmart and is pretty level. No issues at all. A little noisy with trains and generators running on trucks but if you are tired and need rest this works out. We would definitely stay here again if just need a place to pull over and rest.

This spot is well used by truckers and travelers on the road. With the idling truck noise, it may not be for light sleepers. However, it’s a large gravel/dirt parking area with lots of room. There is garbage left by inconsiderate people and while I was here, a wreck of a car parked right in front of me and started screaming at people. I was blocked and unable to leave. I will not stay here again.

We pulled in about 3:30pm. Checked in with the security patrol and inquired if we could stay the night. She said yes and gave us the choice of the outer parking lot (paved) or the dirt overflow lot. The overflow dirt is marked “no overnight parking” so it was good to ask. Several trucks in the dirt lot as well as a couple of trailers. 4 ot 5 RV’s in the outer paved lot.
We were cautioned to “lock up tight” over night (security leaves at 11:00pm). No worry of violent crime, but many homeless in the area. The parking area was clean and the restrooms in Walmart were convenient. Burger King inside (not recommended). Jack-in-the-Box in the lot.

This used to be my "go to" spot when traveling south, but today when I went and parked, I got that, you know, "this ain't cool" feeling. Noisy, barking dogs and sketchy folks. So I decided to head down 248 as I was headed that direction anyway. Only 15 miles south is the BLM campground "Sawtooth Mountain" GPS coords: 34.66833, -116.98302. I'm sitting here in a beautiful quiet and dark desert spot, glad I moved.

We arrived at Walmart parking lot on December 22, 2023 7 pm. It was extremely busy. We had a couple of items to get, and it was too late to continue driving.
There is a HUGE gravel lot across from Walmart entrance, it had 2 semi trucks a huge motorhome with a trailer, a couple smaller ones, and we settled in on a well grated area, as it got later 2 more trucks came in, one with a load of cars, it was a quiet night. The lot is as big as the Wallmart parking lot, great overnight level, and quiet place.

So biggest thing is there are signs everywhere that say no trucks and no overnight parking. However if you go check in with security they will tell you it's fine to park in the gravel lot.
We stayed the night and it was relatively quiet. Few trucks came and went, and there were 5 or 6 other RVs as well. Great stop on the way from socal up to Death Valley.
