The beautiful view made up for the 5 mile drive down a gravel, washboard road to the park. Very level site and I think it was the best site in the park.

We arrived around 3pm, checked in and was taken to our site by a young lady (around 15 yrs old). There was no adult around but she did a great job. After setting up on site 15, we decided to head to town for errands and groceries. When we came back about 6:30, our power was out (apparently tripped) and in 90 degree weather, it was hot. My husband checked connections and plugged everything back in only to find we were pulling 16 amps, instead of 30. He went to the office and they came out to check the box. The lady explained that the wires are really old and are on "one line," and the further down the line you go, the less amps you will get...Okayyy! She asked us to move to site 17, which had 50 amps. Keep in mind, site 17 is at the end of "the line," but worked just fine. The park is clean, as is the laundry room, however, it is $2.50 for the washer and $2.25 for the dryer (most expensive wash/dry since we have been traveling). Additionally, you will hear the noise from the highway!

This is just a parking lot that is not very well marked, maintained or level, but it is close to the attractions in Milwaukee. You couldn't go into the office because of COVID, so you had to pick up your packet from a mailbox - no communication from the office. Our packet indicating for us to pull into the site the wrong way, however, it didn't matter as the hook-ups were in a strange place no matter which way you pulled in. Plus, the hook-ups are about 5 feet off the ground so if you want to empty your tanks, it takes a lot of extra effort. There are no gates so random people come and go and do not adhere to the speed limit. And to top it off, we left early in the morning on the day of our departure (office wasn't open yet), and about 12pm I received a call from a gentleman that said, "You were supposed to check out today." I reply that we had left early that morning and were already gone. He sharply replied, "Thanks for letting us know," and hung up. If they would patrol the area regularly, they would have seen this.
The bathrooms and laundry were very clean. Laundry was $1.75 a load. The park is right next to the Hank Aaron Bike Trail and it's a 5 mile ride to the Harley Museum and the Historic Third Ward (both must sees).

Great overnight stay! Sites are not very level but manageable. Secluded from the casino but you can hear the train often. Make sure you stop at the hotel to check in before driving to the park.

This park is 3/4 permanent campers and everyone is nice. In the FHU area, our site (11) was not level at all. In fact, as we saw most RVs coming and going, almost everyone was having a hard time getting level. Site 9 appeared to be the most level FHU spot. The park has putt-putt, laundry, game room (currently closed), pool (closed) and a small camp store. I loved that it is only 5 miles from Ohiopyle SP, Fallingwater and Fort Necessity. My complaints is the quality of the sites and the fact that the operating hours posted on the laundry/store windows are not accurate. When I brought this to their attention, they didn't seem to think it was an issue since the permanent residence knew the true hours.

Very well maintained park with beautiful grounds on the Yellowstone River, 20 minutes from Livingston and 30 minutes to Yellowstone NP. Staff is very friendly and work hard to keep the property looking good. Sites are gravel, very level and plenty of space. Very clean laundry room and restrooms. Ice cream is always available and they have nightly gatherings around the fire pit.

Not quite what we expected after seeing the pictures on Campedium from 2016 and 2017 and Google - we were pleasantly surprised! Kathy and her husband have put so much into this campground and it shows! The sites are very spacious, level gravel sites with grass and concrete pads for your picnic table (there are 5 new sites out front they just created and are working on getting the grass to grow). We noticed that once a RV leaves, they drive a tractor with a chain over the gravel to ensure it's level before the next one comes. The laundry room has 3 washers and 3 dryers and is very clean. The restrooms were closed but that's because they are under construction to improve them. You can hear the road noise but it really isn't bad. Also, it is a great central point for all this area has to offer, Custer SP, Iron Mountain Road, Needles Hwy, Mt. Rushmore, Keystone, Deadwood, etc. Additionally, there is a restaurant next door you can walk to that has delicious food. We will definitely come back!

This is a nice campground with about 50% permanent campers. The sites on the pond are nice, and the sites on the Ridge (where we were) have a great view. But it is NOT worth the money they charge. They keep the campground nice but the restrooms and laundry room really need some attention! We were here for a week and I know for sure the laundry room was NEVER cleaned nor was the trash emptied the entire time we were here. While we didn't use the bathrooms, we went in periodically to see if they were getting cleaned and I don't believe they were. If you are a self-contained RV and need a place while passing through or to stay a couple of days, this is fine. You are about 6 miles from town where you will find almost anything you need.

All the previous reviews are spot on so I won't repeat them. This is a wonderful campground and we enjoyed our time here! The employees and site owners are very pleasant and work hard to keep the park looking very nice. The only negative I can say about the park is the laundry room. The washers need a serious cleaning - you can see and smell the rust inside.

We loved this state park! The sites are very spacious, level and several of them are long enough for big rigs. There are a couple of FHU sites, too. There are a couple of hiking trails that are marked very well, and a putt putt course. The restrooms were immaculate and they even had a washer/dryer. The camp hosts patrol regularly and they inspect each site after the camper leaves. The park rangers patrol regularly, as well. Since this park is 20 mins from my son's house, we will definitely stay here again. However, there are 2 cons with this park - 1) the roads are VERY narrow, and 2) very poor cell service and barely any internet service (and we have a booster). Streaming at night was impossible.
