This family-run campground is new and clean, with full hookups and spacious, level sites. The owners are friendly and accommodating. Most affordable local option at $25/night, well worth driving the extra mile off I-10. We’ve also stayed at Hilltop RV Park in this area and would choose Westex from now on for the price, convenience, and location!

We stopped for a quick overnight in our 34’ fifth wheel. This place seems like a long-term campground with a few sites for visitors. For $35 a night plus tax, this campground is definitely overpriced for the quality of the sites. Main complaints- the water spigot was three inches below grade, had to reach my entire hand into a puddle of water to connect to water. The sewer was three feet away, also below grade and open. Residents were watching us hook up. Lots of highway and campground noise. Sites severely unlevel. Basically a parking lot.
Pros- big sites, power works fine. There are clean bathrooms, coin laundry, and a pool, but we didn’t use them. Staff was friendly, after hours check-in was easy, just paid in the morning when the office opened.

We didn’t plan to stay here, but we experienced unexpected brake issues leaving the Grand Canyon North Rim and needed to do a quick brake job. This campground ended up being such a blessing! It is walking distance to AutoZone, a coffee shop, and restaurant. At $34/night for full hookups, it is a great price for the area. Basha’s grocery store is nearby. There are a few long-term residents at this park, but everyone kept to themselves. Our pull-through site was level and clean.
The website isn’t explicit about the RV park. Call the hotel to reserve a spot, and check in at the front desk. The staff is friendly and helpful. (As of fall 2022, masks are still required on Navajo land, please show respect for this community by wearing a mask when asked!)

We ended up here because we needed a last minute place to stay over a weekend near Denver, and this was the closest campground with availability. It was fine, but the price was too high for such a bare bones campground.
Pros: Sites are spacious and clean with a picnic table. Walking trail and playground in the adjacent city park. Reservations are easy to make on the website. Late checkout (2pm) was nice. Castlewood Canyon State Park is nearby and worth a visit. Walmart is 5 min away.
Cons: No sewer hookup, though there is a dump station. The site we stayed in was right off the road, so lots of road noise. I’m sure there’s a camp host, but we never saw them. The dumpster was far away and the bath house is in the city park behind the campground. Spotty/congested ATT cell service.
Read your confirmation email for the key code to the dump station and bath house! Both are kept locked.

This is a family-run campground with tent and small vehicle dry camping in the rear, and as far as we could see, two full hook-up sites in the front. We paid $50/night for full hookups. We are a 34 ft fifth wheel, and that’s probably the biggest size that can be accommodated. All utilities are at the rear of the site. We needed 3 sewer hoses to reach, but it’s doable.
View is amazing, the family is polite and friendly. But be aware that you are basically camping in someone’s front yard. Felt more like a Harvest Host than a campground. Great for a safe overnight stop that’s half the price of Goulding’s.

We didn’t see the note at the bottom of this listing that the campground is closed. We drove up and no one was there. We tried calling the number, and a woman answered who told us to go half a mile down the road to what looked like private property, but didn’t give any other information and wasn’t very polite or helpful. We decided to stay at the Tipi Campground a few miles away.
