Stopped here for the night and I was really happy that I did. Clean campground with really large sites. We had an RV site electric/water. Plenty of wildlife, Bighorn Sheep, bats at dusk. Plenty to do and see within the park, one of the best state parks that I’ve stayed at.

We stayed here to access Yellowstone National Park which was full up. Great campground but it was a 30 mi drive to the West entrance of Yellowstone.

The river that runs through the campground is full of trout and we saw quite a few fly fisherman fishing it.

No dump station at the campground but there is a county dump station about 5 mi south of the campground.

We were the only ones in the Campground which was nice. Campground was fairly clean but was not in good shape. A lot of porta potties set up. The river bed had a lot of litter in it.

Main problem with the camp was it's location, it was not near Woodland, CA at all. It turned out to be about 40 mi North of Woodland near Rumsey, CA.

Using roadtrippers navigation we were initially directed to the middle of a farm field right outside Woodland which was incorrect. The actual location added about an hour to our drive which made for a very long day and a very long drive on the next day.

Nice campground. We camped in the campground next to the boat launch, only people in the area. Sites look fairly new and everything was well maintained and clean. We just stayed the night so it was perfect.

The Docent was incredibly nice and super helpful. Definitely, recommend this gem of a museum.
