Great photo op if you need to prove to your friends that you're in the heart of the Bible Belt. Way better than standing next to an anti-abortion billboard, anyway.
As stated by another reviewer, don't park on the road. That's a bad idea and you're likely to get hit by a car. Pull into the local church, where there's plenty of parking available.
Nice little museum, and way more exhibits than you might imagine. If you go, do yourself a favor and call ahead. The place is run by volunteers, and sometimes keeps sporadic hours.
Pretty cool place, well worth a night when you're in the area and looking for a place to crash. Cheap rates too. It's even rumored to be haunted... spoooooky!
This was way more fun than I expected. I'm not into cosplay or any of that stuff, but I still had a blast, more than worth the $20. Protip: you can get a nice discount if you order tickets from their website.
Really incredible "graveyard", and a blast to be able to walk around the check out this huge machines up close. Be sure to bring your camera, lots of great shots to be had here.
Beautiful place, but good luck getting a spot if you want to take a photo. This place gets slammed.
The most beautiful state park I've ever been to. No matter where you look, there's something gorgeous to see. Excellent hiking options here!
One of the neatest tours of one of the most lavish estates in the county. The amount of work that went into this place is downright incredible, particularly with the popular Neptune Pool that you've no doubt seen all over the internet. It really has to be seen to be believed.
The toys are way overpriced, but you aren't going here to shop - you're going here to be stunned by the massive toy store... and to recreate that scene from "Big". The piano is still there, and it's awesome, and free!
One of the coolest abandoned places in America, and absolutely worthy of a road trip detour. At the very least, you can go check out the Golden Gate Bridge.
