Fantastic park. The park is not nearly as well known or travelled as some of the others, yet an amazing find! We did not hike the Wave, as it required an application the day before and only has 20 hikers / day. Yet we did go the ranger station (only ones there) got some advice on a great hike with some amazing similar rock formations and beautiful hike through the Narrows. No one else around! We hiked this with our kids. It was hot... bring water! Beautiful!
Wonderful stay. Right on top of the rim. We could walk to all the rim restaurants and gift shops. And it was just steps away from the rim walk trail as well as the angel trail. In the morning we got up before sunrise and walked out to see dawn break over the canyon. Spectacular! Staff were wonderful. Everything was clean and well kept. Very enjoyable!
Great lodge. Clean and comfortable. Close to everything. We walked. But you can take buses everywhere. Dinning facilities in Maswik were fine. Huge cafeteria with many options. All the staff was fantastic, many were there only for the summer from all around the world. Definitely worth the time to ask where they are from and why they have chosen to work in the park.
Truly amazing geology! The ride through the park was fun, but the best view was really from the observation deck at the beginning. It is so huge and expansive...truly magnificent!
It was a very nicely done display. They have an outdoor museum as well. However it was closed when we arrived so I am not sure what is in there. The employees at the Burger King were friendly and everything was very clean. It was great to read about and see the artifacts of the Code Talkers. The display was almost as good as the display in the museum at Monument Valley.
My family and I loved it. Our cabin was very nice, clean and the little grocery / gift shop / bakery was fantastic. We loved the small town and easy access to the Parks!
