This place was amazing. Make sure to save yourself some time by taking the right trail. It is marked by flame numbers. Hike is a bit strenuous but beautiful.

It was neat. Worth the stop if you are somewhere close and time to dedicate. There is payment by honor system. We enjoyed

Berkeley Springs State park. Quick history, Berkeley Springs is a small town in West VA known for its mineral water springs, which were thought to have healing powers. It was frequently visited for thousands of years by Native Americans indigenous to the area, and eventually notable colonial visitors such as George Washington and James Ramsey. Long story short, GW took a bath right here in the mineral spring tub. He also frequented with his half-bro, Lawrence, who was ill, hoping the springs would improve his health. Side note: we got in the water, no health improvements or declines to report. Not too much to do here, but the town was beautiful and definitely worth the stop.

The waterfall itself is hard to find if you are walking the trails. We parked in the picnic area and followed the trail until we eventually heard the running water. The trail took you over a stream and a bridge, it was beautiful. There is easier access from the street parking. It will bring you right to the fall. Definitely worth seeing.
