I thought it was a neat little stop. Very hot in the summer. We were there July 1st and it was 107. We saw 4 elk. The visitor center was closed so we were only there for about 15 minutes. The Safari tours sign said 2nd and 4th Sunday's. Open until dusk. $8.00 to park.

The directions here are wrong it's actually about 8 miles up once you exit the freeway. It was expensive but very neat. It cost $82.00 for my family of 6 ages, 1,2,7,10 and adults. You can't bring anything including you phone or camera into the Caverns. There is a little cafe, an educational movie, a gift shop, and a little discovery center. Even my two year old enjoyed it.

I have a family of six with small kids and it cost a total of $3.50. There was also a DQ attached. It was a nice little pit stop to stretch our legs. The suspense was the best part.
