Out in the middle of nowhere with expansive views and a lovely hot spring to enjoy while camping! This place has two hot springs soaking tubs next to each other that you can use for free 24/7 while you are camping here. They have a bathroom that is also open 24/7.

The campsites are basic one rough gravel, not exactly level but close enough for 1 night. Fire pits and picnic tables. The office has a small "general store" with supplies if you need anything that you forgot, cause there isn't much out here.

There is no AT&T service! You can pay $5 for a wifi code but it is pretty spotty and weak. And they ask you not to stream anything.

The mosquitoes were awful this time of year during the evening but my morning hot spring soak was glorious! The road in and out is gravel, 10 miles from the south and 30 miles to the north. It's well packed but be prepared for dust!

I thought this place would be pretty quiet but there were actually quite a few other people/campers here. Next time I would consider camping on the desert floor (BLM land I think?) and just coming up to use the hot springs.

This spot is a little off the beaten path but I think that's probably what makes it so great! There was only one other rig out here so it was very peaceful! There is a hiking trail that runs through here so there is probably more day traffic (horses, etc). The spots were nicely spaced with picnic tables and fire pits and level dirt pads.

The roads into the campground are dirt/gravel and mildly washboarded, but it's not too far so you can just go slow and it's all good.

The cell service wasn't ideal but it was enough for me to use my hotspot with AT&T and get some work done.

There are outhouses and water available here although I didn't use either.

It looks like they are proposing to start charging a $10 fee in 2020.

This turned out to be an excellent place to camp out for the week and work. Site 31 is a prime spot because you are near the back of the campground and have unobstructed views of the Badlands NP! Gravel pads with little grassy spots made for level parking and a nice morning yoga spot.

The sites are fairly close together but during my stay in September, it was never full. I also found that most people were only here for 1 or maybe 2 nights.

Free wifi, although sometimes spotty on my phone, never had a problem with connecting on my laptop though. The cell service was occasionally spotty too, but never had problems making phone calls.

The bathrooms here were well-maintained and good hot water in the showers. The office also has a small store and small restaurant for breakfast and dinner (Th-M). I didn't eat there so I can't vouch for the food quality.

The walk into the tiny town of Interior is about 10 minutes. There is a bar, gas station, post office, and a small grocery store. It is about 2 miles from the Badlands NP entrance, not really walkable cause it is the highway but a very quick drive.

The sunrises, sunsets, and stars here are amazing! I would definitely return to this location!

A beautiful backdrop to enjoy as you do your business! Free to dump but there is a donation box. Has room for 2 rigs to dump at the same time and there are a couple of water filling stations.

This place was full on Friday afternoon in August! Drove around all the sites and even tried to go up into the dispersed camping area before settling at site #1 for the first night. Site 1 doesn't have the best views or privacy and you are right across from the gravel pits. But I was able to scope out a spot for the next day when people left.

Moved to site #4 on day 2 and this was such an upgrade! The views of the tetons from here are spectacular, there is a little more privacy and the site is larger.

The road in isn't too bad. The further back you go the worse it gets. All the spots here are really incredible though, I wouldn't have been disappointed with any of them. Most of them had a fire pit, if I recall correctly. Service is spotty but who cares when you're in this setting!

Note: I tried going up further into the dispersed camping area to find a spot when I first arrived. Definitely don't recommend this for larger vehicles. I was lucky to find a spot to turn around in my 24' class c.

Arrived here after dark and tried Black Canyon North first. Unfortunately, there was someone already there and they weren't keen on having me join them so I decided to try Black Canyon South. Fortunately, this area seemed to have more space for people to set up in different areas with a few different paths off the main path. There was one other rig in this spot, but I was able to park in a totally different area without an issue. I could hear their generator (it is the desert after all) but other than that it was like I had the whole place to myself.

The access is reasonable enough, a little narrow and some good divets, but I managed it slowly in my 24' class C. It was level enough for 1 night. Cell service wasn't awful either (AT&T). Beautiful desert star-gazing and sunrise!

I liked that it was only about 8 miles from the Hole in the Wall visitor center and campground. I went here in the morning to dump my tanks and then did the Ring Loop hike (very cool).

This was such a perfect spot to boondock! Quiet, right by a beautiful river, and even amenities! There was a clean vault toilet, 2 tent pads, 2 shaded picnic tables, and 2 fire rings.

The AT&T cell service was good enough to use my hotspot and work.

It was fairly easy to access down a gravel road. There are also a couple of additional less developed spots if the two developed spots are full. If the 2 spots are full there isn't a ton of room for larger rigs or 5th wheels to turn around and get out, so I would recommend scouting before coming all the way in.

Only about 30 minutes from Craters of the Moon!

The only downside was the wind was fairly brutal while I was there in June. But at least that kept the mosquitoes away!

This is the only dump I've found in Clovis. It's $15 and located right downtown. It's a small parking lot so bigger rigs might have trouble maneuvering. But for small rigs, it's an easy in and out. The guy at the window was nice, overall good experience.

This place is apparently undergoing a change in management/ownership and therefore I believe upgrades are still in progress. I think the price reflects what it ought to be once they are finished. If I were to come back to this area I would probably check out the other spots before staying here again. That being said, I would stay here again if it ended up being the best deal.

Pros: The owner/manager is super friendly and helpful. The wifi is free and works well. Wasn't anywhere near full the entire time I was here. Laundry is free. Cell service (AT&T) is strong. Easy to get to and fairly level sites. Bathrooms and showers were pretty decent, nothing fancy.

Cons: Not many trees/shade/privacy. Not so much curb appeal, it isn't exactly the nicest place to look out your window at. The train tracks are right next to the campground and it does pass through about as early as 6:30am and as late as 9:30pm.
