We stopped here after going to Santa Claus, IN, thinking we would take a quick look. We ended up staying almost 2 hours. It's a beautiful little walk through the woods to get to the recreated 1820s homestead. There, we walked around, admiring the buildings, and watching the animals (chickens, sheep, etc.). We thought we were the only ones there, and then 2 reenactors emerged from a cabin, invited us in, and we learned a ton of interesting things about Lincoln's childhood and how things were. Highly recommend! Would be great for kids, too.

Fun stop on our road trip. Good photo opp. We went to the GIANT Christmas store nearby, which had everything you could ever imagine wanting for Christmas.

Owner was lovely and helpful. Clean site. Typical RV campground with close-together pull-through sites.

We drove by and took a quick photo. Probably would have made it more worth it if we had the time to stop.

We parked our RV here for one night. The owner was friendly and helpful. We parked facing the river, so it was a great view. Beautiful and clean campsite.

Beautiful campsite. Quiet, scenic. Very close to the city (we took a Lyft from the site). Highly recommend.

Worth the risk of jumping the fence. One of the creepiest, coolest places I've ever been.

Beautiful, so easy to get to from the highway, SO worth the trip! Fairly easy hike - it was rocky, so I was glad I was wearing my hiking shoes.

We stayed in a campground as close as you can get to Lost Cove (still a couple hour hike). Sadly, the locals let us know that there isn't much left there - apparently, mostly everything has been burned down or vandalized.
