DON'T GO - it's not there any more!
Nice owner, decent site. No complaints.
Not a ghost town - just a run-down, quiet town.
We (2 adults) did not enjoy it as much as we thought we would, having been to places like it elsewhere in the country. Felt more geared towards children -
however, we were there at the same time as a class trip of kids ages 8-10 were, so perhaps it feels different at other times.
Peaceful, very affordable, clean, town-owned campground.
This place is fantastic. Enjoyed learning about this quirky (and talented) artist and seeing his work (plus... his skeleton). A very cool stop off the highway.
Pretty tough to drive here in our rented RV, but we made the trip anyway. Nice to walk around the site and climb the "castle." I'd say worth it if you have a car that drives well on dirt roads, otherwise, I wouldn't make the trek.
Had a fun time walking through the museum, and learned a ton about the books and film. Stopped by the Oz Winery down the street afterwards for a tasting. A great afternoon!
We loved it here. The gentleman who owns the place was friendly and helpful. The campground itself as well as the tiny town were fantastic to walk around and explore.
Drove by and took a quick photo from the fence. Wasn't much to see.
