Geyer's is great if you need that last ingredient real fast, or don't want to trek all the way to Kroger. It will cost a little more, but they likely have what you're after.
Sadly, Velvet Smoke has closed this location and moved to Harrison.
As with all Chik-Fil-A's, this one has good food, for fast food. The service here is terrific, and the lunch rush is like a well-oiled machine. Somehow, no matter how crowded the restaurant appears, I can always get my food quickly and find a place to sit.
Servatii's is my first choice for a bakery in Cincinnati. Their pretzel bagels are fantastic, if you've never tried one.

Busken is my second choice when it comes to bakeries in Cincinnati. The donuts are very good but my treat of choice is a sugar cookie. I don't know what they put in them, but I can't get enough. Perhaps its the icing -- seasonally decorated or simply a smiley face, either is a great choice
