Amazing views...well worth the money ($29). However if you don't do elevation changes well...you may feel a little sick by the top. You gain 4,000 feet of elevation in 15 min
We had a blast this morning with Don and his crew of Zach ( who is a 3rd generation ballonist) and Anthony. Very informative and an amazing ride
Very well layed out museum! Somber and informative. I was amazed at how many artifacts they were able to pull together
4 wheel drive recommended, also probably not a good idea in mid winter BUT....The views are breath taking!
Highly recommend the "sammich"....warm apple donut with maple ice cream!
If your goal is to see the sunrise there make sure you make reservations!! It was sold out on the only day we were in Acadia
So one of the least "museumy" museums I've ever been to. I recommend getting tickets in advance as there were lines on the monday we went. They put you in groups where you sit in an auditorium and around you are little informative vignettes which tell the story of the Salem Witch Trials etc. Then you go as a group to another area and see a time line of witches vs modern history and a couple more vignettes. Overall I liked it and found it informative but it wasn't a traditional, go at your own pace, look at stuff on the walls museum.
Fairly straight forward, quick walk through. It was nice to stop and give a moment of silence for each of the remembered.
Yummy Lobster, good prices, right off the main drag. We were there on a rainy Monday in October so it was pretty dead, but I could imagine that it would be hopping in the summer time
So fun, we spent about 20 min here on a Sunday afternoon taking pictures with Mr. Potato head :)
