Good lunch spot, though the food takes a while. Service was pleasant, but it seemed like they were understaffed, even with the restraint only half full. Lots of grilled cheese options and decent tomato soup.

Had a great lunch here with the Compass team. Got the duck meatball sandwich with liver, which was good, but based on the reaction of two of my lunch mates, the Pastrami sandwich is the way to go.

A great little spot to get work done. The coffee is good, but nothing out of the ordinary compared to the plenty of other coffee shops in the area, and the atmosphere isn't particularly unique. It's big though, and has a quieter back area, which is good for getting work done.

Conor's is a great little bar off Pearl Street. The staff is very friendly, beer selection pretty good, and the range of whisky's is impressive. Beers are in the $5-$9 range, and the cocktails around $10. The crowd ranges from grad students to young 30s, other than Wednesday nights ($3 car bombs bring in the college crowd). There is a fun trivia night with round-by-round snifter drinking competitions for the top teams on Mondays too.

There are a few things that stick out about this tour, two of which are great, and two of which is a bit off-putting.

The Good:
Coors Brewery contains the biggest single room Brew House in the states, which is almost awe-inspiring in person. There is a room filled to the top with massive copper brew kettles, stems extending to the ceiling, which givees off a feeling one part King Arthur, and one part Nasa. Very cool. Also, Coors is very generous with the free beer samples.

The Bad:
The tour process has been heavily corporatized, with reusable walking headset audio tours, a forced photo at the start (which you can buy for too much money :) ), and plastic plaques explaining what's around. The beer isn't up to scratch with the better Colorado craft breweries, but it's also a lot cheaper, and good in its own right.

Anyway, if you are in the area for a few days, it's worth a stop. If you are looking specifically for great beer and don't mind a 30 minute drive, I recommend heading up to Boulder and stopping by Avery Brewery.

Breckenridge Brewery makes some really, really good beer. The atmosphere fells a little like a Chipotle mixed with a Red Robin, but the beer is so good it makes up for it. I highly recommend the Vanilla Porter, especially if it's cold outside.

Have you ever spent a long day on the surf off the coast of Monaco, drinking fruity, champagne-based cocktails and looking down on poor people? Have you ever dreamed about it? Well this is the place for you.

The entrees are delicious, but your best bet is to stick with tapas instead -- you get to sample a ton of flavors, for a totally reasonable price. Plus, it's what The Med is famous for. Going the tapas route with friends should run you about $20 - $30, depending on how many drinks you get with it.

Probably my favorite place in Boulder.

Same exact idea as Chipotle, but, IMO, not quite as good. That being said, the environment is a little less cookie cutter, and unlike Chipotle it's open late.

Have you ever been so hungover that you vomitted all over the bathroom floor, not quite able to make it to the toilet in time, but, because you are so dehydrated, the vomit is a dark, crusty brown, with chunks of solidified bile breaking up the otherwise oily mucus that normally acts as stomach lining, protecting the organ wall from perforating due to the low PH environment? That's how they make their chili.

Stop by if you hate yourself.

This guy is MASSIVE, and good for a photo op for those who like offbeat attractions. It's also only a couple blocks off the 16th Street Mall, so it's easy to pop over to it real quick, snap a few photos, and continue exploring the heart of downtown Denver. The Big Blue Bear is not really a destination in its own right, but if you are in the area, it's worth walking over and checking it out.
