The Badlands is a great place to stop if driving along I-90 and especially enroute to the Black Hills. Take the Badlands Loop drive and wind up in Wall, SD! The kids did the Junior Ranger handbook and we hiked a few trails. We saw some big horned sheep and tons of prairie dogs! You could make a day of it, or just a few hours. Very little shade in the summer so bring lots of water!

Stayed here for one night enroute to the badlands. It was very clean and family friendly. The showers were free, too, which is a plus. If I needed a place to camp in the area, I would stay here again.
