Overall a pretty interesting place. The lighthouse and museum are decent but the staff are extraordinary! They actively engage you and give you much more information than the plaques and exhibits in the museum or house. Great fun.

Great campsite! We stayed at one of the rustic campsites which were fantastic! The area we had was secluded with only one other campsite nearby; we also had individual access to Lake Michigan right behind our campsite. It was beautiful. The bathrooms we used were outhouses but were well maintained and didn't put out too much of a smell. The shower houses were also great with individual shower rooms with a lock on the door. Overall I think this campground was great and I would consider coming again.

I went camping here July of 2017. I have a tent so I reserved one of the electric free sites away from the showers because they were cheaper and they were closer to the lake. It was only after I went down to my spot that I realized that the sites are very close to one another fire pits are probably 25ft apart; we were also able to hear everything going on at the youth camp next door all night. Also the bathrooms were atrocious, they smelt awful and had swarms of flies the only decent ones were the showers but even those were crowed. The park itself was fine and pretty enough, but the lake was not open to the public and looked pretty gross as well. Over all not the best campsite I've been to. The staff and the rest of the grounds are the only reason this place gets 2 stars.
