I traveled by car to this location and very glad I did. At first I took the access road and went straight to the end of the road. This road is NOT for RVs or any low-clearance vehicles, the roads have over 1' pitted tracks and there is no turnaround until you get to the very end (even in my little car). At the end there is beautiful view of the lake and mountains but it's a very tiny space, more suited to a jeep and tent arrangement.

If you take the access road and turn to the right where the boat access is there is a large parking area; mostly for the boat ramp. I'm not even sure if you can use a camper there but if you avoid the ramp area you might be ok for a night. It's a pretty location and must easier getting there. Also there's lots of space to turn your rig around. See the pictures I've posted.

It's very quiet there and the view is pleasant, just scout it out before you head off the paved road, just because you can't really turn around in a rig, or even a car for that matter, until it's too late.

I did not camp here.

There are no designated RV spots in thi Cracker Barrel and typical of all Cracker Barrels the parking lot is horribly unlevel. I found a spot in the back parking lot that ran ajacent to the road to the Home Depot. I needed blocks to get remotely level and didn't open my slides at all.

The road to the Home Depot was pretty noisy all evening but late at night it calmed down.

The parking lot was never crowded, it was a week night, and they had no trash cans in the lot.

Typical overnight stop at Cracker Barrel, I parked in the very back row of spaces leaving the RV spots for later arrivals especially since it was a Saturday night. Wow, I've never seen so many RVs and vans, it was like an RV park but tighter. Rigs parked all over the entire back parking lot but it was all friendly and relatively quiet.

The road noise was very loud until late at night but a decent sound machine would drown it out. I'd advise parking as far from the dumpsters as possible, they stink and are oozing trash juice that also is smelly.

Perfect for overnighter on the road, safe, easy access and a very large parking lot. There are a few marked RV spots on the left side of the store but there were trucks that looked to be permanently parked there. I parked in the front parking lot, along the street, farthest from the entrance of the store. There was a lot of street noise where I was parked, but it calmed down as the stores closed in the area. I arrived on a Sunday night so Cabela's closed early and the parking lot emptied out shortly after 6pm. I only saw a van overnight near me, otherwise the lot remained empty overnight.

Lots of commerce in walking distance, food and shopping. Green areas for dogs and sidewalks for exercise. Bright lights in the parking lot and surrounding stores made it difficult to sleep with the windows opened so be prepared for that. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay for me.

I came here (September 2021) to stay overnight and to see the Navajo Shadehouse Museum next door. Overall the parking lot itself was fine, mostly level, all gravel and out of the way of customers. Trucks came and went the entire time I was there.

The reason I gave it such a bad ratings is because when twilight hit there were about a half-dozen dogs around the parking lot scavenging for food. They looked wild but then I thought I noticed someone off to the side of the parking lot with a leash. I have no idea what that was about but I couldn't take my little dog outside for several hours until the dogs moved on. Then right after the dogs left the panhandlers move in. I felt trapped in my RV the whole time I was there.

This is an incredibly run-down park with mostly permanent residents (junky spots) and way too many loose dogs and feral cats; it seems no one understands about dog leashes here. My little dog was constantly being terrified (me too) by dogs racing towards us.

There is no staff, the office is never opened and the laundry and one bathroom are locked (didn't get the code). I called to make a reservation for 2 days and was told $14 with passport america; I wasn't asked for the membership card. Upon arrival I was approached by a truck while picking out my spot, I paid the stranger in cash and I never saw him again. It had rained and it was challenging to find a spot that wasn't so flooded that I could walk through it. The electric kept cutting out from my surge protector so either it was too high or too low, not sure which. I met a couple other travelers and felt safer in the campground, if I hadn't met them I would have felt uncomfortable.

The one bonus is that it was only about 2 miles from the campground was the Gulf and the little town of Henderson where I got the best seafood lunch I've had in years (Shaggy's), then watched a beautiful sunset while chatting up the locals.

Henderson at the Gulf was beautiful but I'd take a pass on this campground.

(stayed September 2021) I pulled into this location after I couldn't find a space at an adjacent forest road space. I was thrilled, not with the dusty distance from the main road, but how open and clean the location was. I could be difficult to get level so plan to twist and turn your RV to avoid having wheels off the ground. Enough space for at least a dozen or more rigs of all sizes while still keeping 50' or so distance.

You are night enough to see part of the Tetons but need to travel to the main road to get the money shot.

My only complaint is that this area has a lot of things to see and that mile to and from the main road really gets annoying when you're making the trip 2-3 times a day.

I pulled into the park early afternoon was Danny told me to take any open spot. I selected a spot to the left of the laundry building (unmarked) that was a deep back-in spot with large gravel and pretty level. They had a laundry room but I didn't use it. The spots have no picnic table or fire ring but are clean and spaced out nicely.

Good location, right off the highway and on old Route 66, although there's nothing to see for miles but farmland. The highway is about 500 yards away and you can hear some road noise but it's not bad at all. My dog loved being outside with all the well-manicured lawn.

Internet showed 5 bars but I wasn't getting 5-bar like speed, although it was good enough to steam TV without a booster.

The Passport America daily rate of $16 was outstanding.

Update: 10/14/2020

Stayed again at this Walmart, parked along the right side of the parking lot this time (no truck deliveries all night long) this time. Lots of fellow RVers, outstanding scenery. There's an Ace hardware across the street and fast food in walking distance.

------

I pulled in to the lot and followed the "truck" lane path and found a mostly level spot in the back of the parking lot. I should have realized that the deliveries would be traveling that path all night long. A sound machine covered the noise but my "Ring" doorbell show just how many semi-trucks closely passed me during the night. Next time I'd park on the other side of the lot.

I felt very safe in the lot, it was right off 25 so easy access in and out. I was happy to see 1 other RV join me in the evening.

Best cell service I've had in a while, there's also a Whataburger and a Subway in walking distance.
