This is a new campground that held mostly work campers for the oil services in the area. I only found it after our normal stop on our way home through Texas was full (as was the other three I called). So I scanned Google maps and it showed up there. I called and the owner said come on over. When we arrived he met us on the golf cart and let us pick our own site. It is well off the i10, unlike the other campgrounds we're used to when traveling across country which was nice. But there was still some road noise from a somewhat heavily travelled road on one side and a FedEX yard on the other. So one star removed for that.
All sites are back in, but ours was long enough that we didn't have to unhitch.
Connections were all brand new, but were at the very back of the sites (some might find that awkward).
WiFi worked good, owner gave us the password.
Verizon was four bars.

This RV park is tucked in right off the Hwy101 and Avila Beach Drive.

The good points:
Location! We absolutely love this area. We have used this campground when we were unable to get into some of our other favorites. The staff is friendly. There is a small store, large hot tub, and pool. This park also offers the usual KOA events like movies under the stars and pancake breakfasts. The entrance to the Bob Jones Trail is almost directly across the street. This lovely trail is a local favorite for walking and biking. It travels along the sycamore trees, across the golf course, and ends down town at the park and beach area. The Avila Hot Springs are right next door. If you go there you shouldn't miss the Avila Valley Barn where you can get roasted corn on the cob, and great pies.
The not so good points:
The spaces are very close together, and we have had some challenges when we are backing in to a site. I ALWAYS over estimate how long our truck and trailer are when we book here because of that. If you book a center site plan on another rig being bumper to bumper with you. You can hear noise from the highway which is located just the rear of the campground, but it's not terribly bad. Wood fires are not allowed in this park. It's expensive.

We originally had another camground booked in Wilcox as I didn't find this one listed online, but as we drove into town I saw signs so I checked it out online and quickly changed our reservation. This campground purchased by KOA about 18 months ago, and Joe one of the Franchise owners was a previous contractor and has done a great done sprucing up the place. We had about the best camping experience one could possibly have at a KOA. The hook up connections included 30 & 50 amp, and were easily accessed, there were two sewer dumps at each site to suite your RV needs, and the water pressure was plentiful. And the park is blanketed in high speed WiFi, backed up by fiber optic to their ISP. They had a heated pool, and nice hot tub (which was wonderful after hiking the Chiricahau National Monument), immaculate laundry room, and nicely stocked store. In the morning you can have a nice breakfast cooked for you at the RoadRunner Cafe. While we were enjoying our breakfast the Owner Joe sat down with a map of the area and made some recommendations for us to do some hiking at places we would never have known about not being local.
The only downside of this park was some road noise from being close to the i10.
