Great park! Hidden gem! You should visit here in the winter season, if you can get a site!
Such a hidden gem of a view - to the east the valley leading up to the Grand Tetons. To the west, an wide view of the mountain range. Worth the 15 minute ride to the top...narrow road will likely add to the ascent excitement.
Enjoyable site with quick access to Grand Tetons National Park south entrance. Electrical and restroom facilities (no site water or showers). Clean, level campsites that are roomy.
Beautiful location with bare minimum to camp. Campsite is expansive, and close to water. No shade from trees available, so bring your own cover from the sun. Enjoy the access to Bear Lake from here for sure! Supposedly updating this campground after this season with $5 million budget for 2022 season!
Such an enjoyable campsite. Wooded campsites include some overlooking Bear Lake below. I was fortunate to stay in Campsite #1 with a beautiful morning sunrise through the trees. Although only vault toilets, there is a rest stop near the entrance to the campground with running water/facilities (about half mile walk).
Nice stop for several hours of rest/sleep as you wander further west towards Wyoming, Utah, etc.
While traveling west, I was able to reserve a nice campsite (#26 or #27) along the lake for a breezy night of slumber. Such a nice and natural setting kept clean and enjoyable for all. Hope to visit again for more time on the water!
Paddlung, fishing, hunting and short hikes are possible here. I especially enjoy the SUP paddling at this lake.
