This state park was a beautiful oasis along the snake river. The people were kind and welcoming, allowed us to switch our pre-registered site for one without as many people around. You have to drive through the cute little town of Glenn’s Ferry that looks like it is trapped in the 1960’s. We only stayed one night on our trip out to Nebraska but it was a nice easy stop.
Beautiful lake and a nice easy hike around it at about 5k. There are other more strenuous hikes that you hike to get to lake if you need more of a challenge.
It’s closed for season
Campground is so close to the beautiful beach. Small campground but nice. I got the walk up spot without reservations and it was pretty covered with trash, plastic bottle thrown in fire pit and old propane bottles in the bushes... Sad... Would be great without the blatant disrespect of nature.
It's beautiful when the water level is lower and you can get closer to both sets of falls, nice easy hike to both
