Third stop on my way to NM. Staff in gift shop and park rangers were friendly and helpful.

I hiked guadalupe peak. Quite the challenge and a lot of loose rocks. I usually don't carry a hiking stick but it saved my knees this time. There were other people on the trail but it wasn't overly crowded so still very peaceful. Bring plenty of water, snacks, and comfy shoes.

This was my second stop on the way to White Sands, NM. I lucked out and only had two other people on my tour. The young lady giving my tour was super friendly, knowledgeable, and funny. They warn that the caves are warm and not to wear heavy clothing. Grounds were clean and there was lots of deer roaming. I had no cell signal so be sure you know your way back to the main roads if you're unfamiliar with the area.
