This felt like the neighborhood where I grew up, but in an RV park instead of sticks and bricks. Its well maintained and wonderful for full timers, with easy access to mail and packages. The school bus stops at the entrance and neighbors walk each others dogs. The easily accessible sites make it very convenient for overnight stays!

There are amenities like a clubhouse, clean laundry facilities and bathrooms, pickle ball courts, shuffle board, and a driving range for golf. Its also close to grocery stores, Walmart and a big fruit stand.

There are weekly poker nights and bingo nights.

At the time of our stay, there was no playground or swimming pool.

All of the sites face South and there are very few trees except around the edges of the park, which is great for satellite internet. The most southern sites get the long tree shadows in the winter. If youre not in those sites, park at a slight angle to block the afternoon sun.

5 mins to Walmart
10 mins to Manatee Springs
20-30 mins to other springs
45-60 mins from greater Gainesville
1 hour from Weeki Wachee (mermaid show)

Easy pull throughs with ample space for parking tow vehicle. Friendly staff. If road noise bothers you, don’t stay by the road south of the campground. It doesn’t have beach access, but it has clear views of St. George Sound, and it’s about 15 minutes from St. George’s Island. We went to the state park beach on the island, and didn’t see another soul for hours.

There are two sides to the campground, and either side can use the amenities of the other. They were having some issues with the water while we were there, and the water pressure was lower than the average campground.

East:
Beautiful patios
Easy access to fishing pier
Smallish unheated pool
Clubhouse
Laundry
Full kitchen
Office
Gorgeous bathrooms

West:
Nice concrete patios
Nice pool
Amazing, huge, spa-like bathrooms
Cornhole field
Pickleball court
Two large dog runs, one for small dogs and the other for large dogs
Delicious BBQ joint on site

Our other plans fell through so we arrived just before sunset. It was easy to pull in, hook up and pay at the front desk.

Great staff that automatically moved us to a site that was longer when they saw the length of our trailer.

Pool
Propane (about $0.90 more expensive than tractor supply)
Great dog parks
Ponds & trails
Easily accessible private bathrooms
Two laundry rooms
15 minutes or less to big box stores & Buc-ees

It’s okay for the price. Our site had a great deal of ponding for most of our long stay. It was difficult to step out of our rig without stepping in one of many deep muddy puddles. The weeds in the sites weren’t mowed while we were there. It’s kinda junky. If you’re just looking for a stopover on the way to the Tetons or Yellowstone, we felt safe and it’s close to Walmart and a Smith’s grocery store. Lander is much nicer, but it doesn’t have the retail like Riverton.

They were really prepared for a tornado with written warnings delivered personally to our camper and a well staffed storm shelter (above ground cinder block bathrooms).

I really appreciate a campground that is prepared to help campers that are not used to the local natural disasters. I’m from the Midwest so I’m used to tornado warnings, but I have been in a tornado warning at a campground where I’ve seen about 20 cars full of families milling around a parking lot on a hill not knowing what to do. The severe straight line winds that night barely missed the campground.

Well maintained, friendly staff, well lit and has propane fill.

We stayed in 79. We had a little trouble with Starlink, but I think if we had stayed one or two rows to the west, we would have had no problem. The sites in the 90s for example. The site we stayed in was easy to get to and long enough for our trailer and two vehicles.

There is some road noise. There are no fire rings, but you can rent one. There is no fenced dog area, but there’s plenty of open space to walk your dog.

Beautiful campground (loop E), spacious sites and excellent staff and I love the recycling bins!!! However…

When it would get above 77, our surge protector would trip because of low voltage at the post. The staff said that a lot of people were having this experience in the campground.

With a 40+ foot rig, and the need for full services (yes need, not want), it was the only place in the park we could stay. We could have paid less for less than full services or 30 amp at a different campground. We ended up not using one of our acs and sometimes using the 30 amp outlet instead of using the 50 amp.

It’s Yellowstone, so, we would have probably have ignored the reviews, but i think it’s good to know before you go.

FYI:

Loop E is the newer part of Fishing Bridge with long paved sites and few trees, but the sites have a mountain meadow feel. The other loops in Fishing Bridge and have gravel sites, and are closer together but have mature trees in and around the sites.

Given that it’s common to park your tow vehicle at many rv parks at a diagonal at the end of your site, these “deluxe” sites were more cramped than usual. While they had some much longer deluxe sites for the same price, they assigned us to a site that would fit our fifth wheel but not our truck. They knew from the reservation that it was a 42’ fifth wheel with a tow vehicle. There were many others in the same predicament in our row and we were parked in several times by our neighbors because they had no other place to park.

Site 10:
Our Extra Long Full Back In Site was long, but very sloped so we couldnt use the full length. As it was, our normal extra 8 inch step needed to be 16 inches to reach our rigs step. The site was already very narrow, but because of the cable box placement and tree limbs hanging over the site, it was at most 165 inches side to side. The picnic table was placed at the back because there was no room for anything but slides. So when the description says room for slide outs, it means that there wont be room to walk around your rig on either side. It was also very sloped side to side.

Pulling into the site, we had to use the opposite site and our neighbor next to us was kind enough to move their truck so we could have room to back into the site because of a low, overhanging, thick branch. While we were trying to move into the site, a staff member pulled up in a golf cart and from the other side of the road, yelled Is he going to hit the tree?while I was trying to prevent our rv from hitting the tree while I was standing close to the diesel engine because there was no room to maneuver in the site.

If you want room for more than just your slides, reserve site 9.

We used the dog park once because it smelled so bad. Both dog parks are covered in turf instead of grass or pea gravel. They both smell like old poo from 20 feet away. I didnt go into the playground, but that was right next door, and I can only assume how bad it smelled.

Most of the views are blocked. The pool and spa were nice, but small. The staff was nice.
