Very beautiful place. Will definitely visit again.
I wanted to love Fort Boonesborough but it fell short. The staff was not very friendly or interactive.
The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. We visited during the pandemic and protocols were in place and being enforced.
We spent about 3 hours at Fort Moultrie exploring the grounds and the actual fort. All 3 children, 15, 11 and 2 found things of interest. The little one was thrilled with all of the cannons that could be touched.
Although we did not directly interact, there was a volunteer that was so passionate about the the Fort. We were listening to his stories as he was telling other visitors and he kept each group fully enthralled with his knowledge of both Forts and Charleston in general.
We opted not to go to Fort Sumter because of the price.
This may have been one of my favorite stops. I learned so much about the tea and our guide was fabulous. We participated in the free factory tour (it’s a series of videos) and the paid trolley tour of the grounds.
They have free tea tastings of both hot and cold teas and plenty are available for purchase. There is a variety of other foods and souvenirs to purchase as well.
The staff was all very friendly and knowledgeable. They even gave us tips for the rest of our trip in Charleston!
Unique stop on our trip. The tree is at least 400 years old.
It was busier than I expected it to be but everyone was respectful. We had to park on the shoulder of the road because of limited parking. I could see this being an issue with anyone that has a rv or very large vehicle. There is a small gift shop upon exit.
The tree is blocked by ropes from visitors. They ask that you don’t touch it to preserve it.
Had a wonderful stay! The room and lobby were very clean. Great water pressure and hot water in the shower. Used the laundry facilities without issues. Check in and out was very efficient and the staff was very nice.
Overall it was a great stop for us. The pavilion looked a bit beat up but hopefully it gets cleaned up before they fully open for the season.
Great stop! So informative and the ranger inside the fort knows his stuff!!
Had a great stay! The room was clean, the property well maintained. It was a quick walk to the lobby area the houses the food court, gift shop and transportation.
