This was a beautiful park!!! The drive to get to the main architectural sites was a very long drive! PLAN ACCORDINGLY. This took more of our day than I though it would. Also you have to get tickets to tour the main site (Long House) at the visitor center and that is at the entrance— Long house is about an hour and a half into the mountains. Walking around short house was amazing and wish I had planned on staying in the area to see more of the park but was definitely worth the visit!!!
Wanted this to be a win but was a bust! We wanted to stay in a covered wagon but was crazy expensive and 2 night min was required. The room was nice but more expensive than any other place around. Service was subpar, the food was not great. Only real redeeming quality was that it was right next to capitol reef park and had some pretty great views (not that we got one) but I can see in another room how it can be appreciated.
Was a beautiful monument but the drive to get to the ruins was a long one into and out of the park. This can take all day so plan accordingly. We had not planned on being here all day but that changed when we saw how much there was to see. Step house was relatively easy but was steep in some places and lots of stairs! Not and easy hike. I have a toddler and we were only able to make it to the step house but the long house hike was too hot, and a little too long for her. Come prepared with lots of water!!!
This was amazing! We drove past the vermilion cliffs and there are lots of Native American shops along the sides of the road. The bridge though was worth the drive.
Under renovation
The rooms were dirty and smelled like smoke.
Was a little pricey but was worth it! The house left me speechless and my husband mind was blow with all the detail. GET THE AUDIO TOUR! There were no signs explaining anything and the people working there would talk a little about the house but we did the first few rooms with out the audio and turned around to get one after that. Over all a wonderful experience and don't forget to go and try their wines :)
Relatively clean. Could use some up grades but is convenient between the smokey mts and Asheville
It happened to be raining when we went to see it but was worth the 2.2 mile hike there and back.
A MUST SEE. Added some time to our drive but well worth see Laurel Falls and Cades cove
MUST SEE! Unbelievable views and great drive... Just make sure u are ready to drive a little longer than u planned that day it can take a few hours but well worth it. Saw laurel falls and did cades cove and they were absolutely beautiful.
