“cozy, clean and sophisticated rooms”
We’ve thought of everything at Capitol Reef Resort with both your comfort and convenience in mind. From the moment you check-in you’ll find it easy to unwind in our freshly appointed guest rooms. With crisp bed linens, flat screen TV’s and stunning views of the Red Rock Cliffs, you may never want to leave your room, and we would understand why.
We love this place. We come in the off season- November- and go out of our way to to make this a destination. We stay in one of the cabins, with the deck and hang out in the hot tub and lay around, cozily, on faux fur blankets.
It is clean, quiet, elegant and the staff is super nice.
The setting is amazing.
Why stay in a cabin or room when you can stay in a Conestoga wagon, like the pioneers who originally settled the area? Of course, those pioneers didn't have king-sized beds, private bathrooms, and heated outdoor pools when they first got here... but those are just a few of the rad amenities offered by this rad resort!
This is conveniently located when visiting Capitol Reef National Park. Stayed in the off season (November). Stagecoaches and teepees were not available. Room was decently priced for the area.
Room is fairly big, clean, and well maintained. Beds are medium-firm and nice. Rooms have a small patio with a view of the red hills. There’s a fire pit and hot tub available for use even in late fall. Parking is abundant.
Walls are paper thin; we can hear the people in the next room having a normal conversation with indoor voices. There is a bit of a musty linen smell.
Restaurant is over priced comfort food. $7 for a glass of barefoot wine. Go across the street for dinner or back into Torrey for breakfast/lunch. That said there was nothing wrong with the food, service, or atmosphere. This is convenient if you just want food in your belly.
Last minute to stay (we were in an RV) and so glad we did. The pool area is amazing. Kid friendly. Llama hikes. And we ate across the street at the Inn. Beautiful views.
Love the Hotel
Wanted this to be a win but was a bust! We wanted to stay in a covered wagon but was crazy expensive and 2 night min was required. The room was nice but more expensive than any other place around. Service was subpar, the food was not great. Only real redeeming quality was that it was right next to capitol reef park and had some pretty great views (not that we got one) but I can see in another room how it can be appreciated.
This place is so cool and the food is delicious!
Very small hotel rooms but otherwise nothing but amazing service, views to die for, fun grounds.
Check out their Facebook special on its website for deal.
Used to be Best Western. Remodeled and nice Capitol reef NP view at patio. Beds are very tall, room has refrigerator and microwave. Free continental breakfast with apple and oranges.
