Love history so this is a must stop. Beautiful property with trees and well preserved buildings. Loved the walking path dotted with information signs. Great walk with the puppies. Nice visitor center with nice Park Rangers. Get there on time for a guided tour and a movie. Passport book holders get your stamp and cancellation in the visitor’s center.

Nice quiet park. No water flowing on the dam. Love the back in sites on the river. Nice trees, playground in the shade and pretty level sites. Great check in experience.

It is a KOA so there are nice amenities. There are some areas that need some work but overall a good 2 nights stay. We had not asked for a specific site and should have in retrospect. We tow a 28’ trailer with our truck. All sites are gravel and ours as some others are not easy to back into. We would have asked for a pull through site but the larger rigs took those quickly. We were fine but wished the asphalt did not have as big of a drop off to the gravel.
A nice dog park along with the kids park. Brief trail around the sites and a pond with a lonely duck. Fun yard art everywhere you turned.
Grandpa’s Griddle on the weekend was good.
It was Labor Day weekend but no loud parties. Always meet nice campers along the way at KOA locations.
Usually love a COE but this one was a bit different. We checked in to a boil water notice due to bacteria in water. They could have emailed the notice earlier to arrival. Decent site at E102. Concrete pads but very narrow however long enough for our 28’ rig and our truck with room to spare. Nice sunsets and great for water sports.
Would call early on about the water situation before booking again.
