Clean and comfortable. I grew up across the street from Disneyland and worked there. Coming back for a vacation I knew the motels were pretty old or newer and pricey. The room can feel a bit cramped & noise from the street (especially if your first floor) but I'm used to it having lived in Anaheim for 40+ years. The free parking is great, especially if you're driving your own car. The free breakfast is good to save some money. Better than a continental breakfast but nothing fancy. The lobby has free coffee and water. The pool and Jacuzzi look very nice and clean as well. For your convenience, there is a 7-Eleven next-door, a CVS and Walgreens across the street and many restaurants to walk to. The walk to Disneyland's front gate takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes. Definitely one of the most reasonable & comfortable places to stay nearby Disneyland.
Definitely not exactly what I expected. The beach access is a short walk, but the beach isn't exactly the kind you think of when you want to spend the day in the sun. Not much of a shoreline and pretty cold for June. (High of 70°, low of 48°). The "FREE" continental breakfast is a voucher for $4.00 toward your breakfast. The indoor pool is heated which is nice, and there is a laundry facility close if you need it. As for the view, there's another motel between you and the ocean so there's not a lot to see. You can hear the cars on the highway more than the ocean. If I had know better, I'd have selected The Morgan for a few more bucks to add a bit more luxury.
Charming is the perfect way to describe Meadowlark Inn. The price was great for a 2 bed room with kitchenette including a good size fridge & stove. Cutlery, dishes and coffee with maker provided. Even a little electric fireplace to keep cozy. The bathroom is good size and even large enough for handicap access if needed. The courtyard is adorable with water elements, bird houses and pretty greenery. I'd definitely stay here again.
