Such a find! A little whitewashed oasis where you can sit outside in a wooden teepee! The chorizo and egg sandwich was incredible. The grilled cheese has spaghetti squash in it, which is pretty cool, and yummy. It's a bit more of an intense order, though.

Hummus and cucumber sandwich...Mexican hot chocolate and cider in the winter...$1 coffee...solid brunch...that salad with grilled chicken on it...Atticus is a lunchtime staple. They're breakfast hours end on the earlier side BUT you can get the breakfast sandwich all day (they won't tell you this--insider tip) and it comes on a delicious croissant. The book selection is decent but is often missing the actual book you are looking for. Also, you go to Atticus for the food, not the service (they seem to know this). You'll keep coming back. Not a good place to work as they don't let you use the outlets. I think they just got their liquor license, too...so ask about that.

don't do it, unless you're a Yale kid looking to buy solo cups with Eli bucks. Weird hours.

If you see this truck, GET A GRILLED CHEESE! seriously worth it. The Cheese Truck Challenge is epic but i wouldn't recommend it....these sandwiches are very rich. Get some tomato soup to go dip the grilled cheese into, to it off with some quality mustard, and try some of their specials! You really can't go wrong. If you're still hungry, get a dessert sandwich like the grilled nutella and banana! My mouth is watering writing this.

Don't underestimate the Luxury!! It is totally cool, and has awesomely creative sandwich combos. Walk around the river after--you're on the quieter part of the stretch that heads to the Pearl Brewery to the north and the bustling riverwalk to the south.

Downtown San Antonio just completely brightens up when you drop down from the street to the River Walk. Mariachis...margaritas...romantic bridges...an awesome ice cream shop...explore and enjoy it!! It's unlike anywhere else. Food-wise, I would recommend visiting Boudros. Bar-wise, Esquire. Experience-wise, take a river barge down the river and get a tour and dinner.

Howeverrr--if the crowded downtown portion of the riverwalk gets too overwhelming, keep walking north! The crowds will thin out, the noise die down, and you'll get a chance to explore another side of San Antonio. Keep walking for a mile and you'll get to the shops/bars/restaurants at the Pearl Brewery, which is a change of pace from downtown and worth exploring!! Here, you'll find more locals and less of a scene targeting tourists. Check out La Gloria for some Mexican Street food, or Blue Box for drinks.

Or, walk South to check out the mission trail!

You'll know the building by the awesome ArtWorks mural honoring beer and the Brewery District! Inside, the team behind the app is working away in a space that just keeps growing and getting cooler. First a brewery, abandoned for a while, and now a tech company, the Roadtrippers HQ is oozing enthusiasm for Over the Rhine.

Sitting on the park on a saturday, walking through on a weekday evening after work--it just makes you happy!! Kids are always playing in the fountains and there is often live music. There always seem to be new, family-friendly activities going on. I can't wait for Cincy Flea!

OK just so you know, the waffles are seriously hearty. Dense rather than light. Delicious though!! I personally am a huge fan of the 'nati savory crepe.

You can play life-sized Jenga! It's very relaxed, and backyard patio somehow manages to always be just bustling enough while giving you room to breathe. A perfect place to start your night, whether it's a weekday happy hour or 11pm on a weekend.
