This was 30 miles out of the way for me and I kept hoping it was going to be worth it the entire way. And it was. Someone is lovingly taking care of it and it shows. There are 20? Or so pieces of steel artwork here and very well done. Worth the detour to me

Get off the hi way and take this to the badlands or black hills.
It's just before the entrance (or exit) of the badlands. If you do the loop, you can't miss it.
Not just a photo op. You get to sit down in the middle of a prairie dog patch and hand feed them. For 50c you could easily spend an hour hear. This is the only place I know of where it's ok to feed and socialize with prairie dogs. My favorite stop. So cute.
