Place is crazy busy. Walking out to the end and looking into the lake is neat. There's a fountain just in front of the entrance that our 2 year old absolutely loved. Free to go on the pier but anything on it costs money.
The place is crazy busy on weekends. The bean is really cool and there is a few good places for a stroll. It's free so good for families on a budget.
The natural play area was really amazing. Our 2 year old loved it. Very affordable, free for adults and children under 2. Two miles of easy hiking trails. Great place to spend a couple hours on a budget.
What a great park. Views are great. Abundant wildlife. Friendly for children, even some wheelchair accessible trails. We saw bison, mule deer, pronghorn, a couple lynx lounging in the grass, even a big horn sheep.
This place was a great stop for lunch and a leg stretch. Easy route off of I25. Bathrooms are only portable toilets.
This was a great, small park and worth the time. About 4-5 hours is all thats required to see everything this park has outside of the camping areas. The major things can be done in around 2 hours. Crystal Forest short trail was the highlight for me.
Drove through this forest on our way to Petrified Forest from Phoenix. A very scenic and pretty drive through the mountains.
This place was a great stop. There right at 7am before it got busy. Did a couple short hikes a d crawled up a couple dunes that we could do with a baby. Did not get a chance to sand sled but I would plan that in if you're visiting. Looks like it would be great
This place was pretty awesome. Being there in Winter and the evening the place was not busy at all which was nice. If you like hiking and biking with a view this is worth the trip. Some parts closed for hunting season big its a big enough park that it didn't affect anything for us.
Stopped for a quick hike. Was cold and windy, too cold for our baby. But the campgrounds looked nice and lake was beautiful. Swim beach would probably be nice in the Summer!
