A little off the beaten path, but it’s a nice little campground with friendly owners and a great walking trail.
Great accommodations, level sites, easy on and off I-35. Very nice hosts.
Fabulous, funky gift shop full of inspiration. Definitely worth a stop!
If you're anywhere near Schenectady and feeling frazzled, grab a snack and stop here. Your calm will return as you walk through the garden. Breathe deep. It's a fabulous oasis.
This is a free stop, and a cool lighthouse. You can't enter the lighthouse but there's a little gift shop with information, and you can walk up to the lighthouse and take pictures of the incredible views.
Worth stopping! I drove to the top on a perfect morning and had my morning coffee on top of the world. Lovely.
Worth the drive. It's about 9 miles north of US2, and there are several picnic tables. You can walk around to see the falls, and take a quick dip if you're so inclined.
Nice campground with lots of mature trees and a propane filling station. I'd give it five stars if it weren't for the shower (yes, only one women's shower) that costs 25 cents for five minutes and has an unenthusiastic water flow. A large dribble.
Fabulous farmers' market featuring fresh veggies, baked goods, fresh flowers and herbs, and organic hummus. Oh, and live music!
Staff is friendly, but sites are cramped. No trees between sites, and no matter what you do, you're staring at your neighbor because there's barely enough room to extend the awning. When I was here, it had rained quite a bit, and the fire pits were under water. The price was high ($45 for full hook-ups) for the accommodations. One grand thing about this campground, though, is that it's on the bike path, so you can bike south to town or north for a few miles.
