It is an older park - Passport America 30 amp site was $20.99. Not sure where the $16.50 price was.

Lady (Brittany) was very nice showing us to our site, it was not level and she told us to take our pick, found a nice level pull thru.

It is a weak 4 star, but FHU counts for something and it is just far enough away from I-20 that the road noise is faint.

New washers and dryers (3.75 wash, 1.75 dry).

Overall, a nice over nighter.

We travel this way once a year and this is a must stop for us. We enjoy the super cleanliness of the facilities, the level sites, and the quiet. Deer fed in front of us in the evening. Also we like the Hungry Hunter for catfish so another reason to stay more than one night.

Stayed here several times over the years. It is under new owners for the past 2 years and they are making improvements but it takes time. I say give them the business so they can continue upgrading. They are a very nice couple and eager to make your stay pleasant. Easy walk to Mac's BBQ but we prefer Boon Docks for catfish and bean bar. We plan to stay here again

We called ahead and we're greeted by a very friendly voice. She was at a family reunion so it was noisy but she checked and had one site available (Saturday) she was so accommodating and offered extra hoses and cable. We did not need either. Our site was not level so the jacks had some tires off the ground. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5. We have stayed here on several occasions and always appreciate their campground.

Came in on Sunday for one night Passport America rate and will stay again. Close to town nice pull through sites. Did not use their wifi but from the looks of the installation, I am sure it is done correctly. Since it was Sunday, did not meet the owners. Will definitely stay here again.

We called ahead to make reservations. Louisiana state parks give free admission to seniors above 62. Also they give nice discounts to seniors for camping. Weekend rates are 2 night minimum. Our 2 night stay was 31.81 incl taxes. May have been a bit less had I used our NPS senior pas.

Most reviews say it all. Maximum 3 nights. We usually spend at most 2. Cell coverage this time was hit and miss for T-Mobile. Seems it was better our last time here. The Park adds to this stop. Able to get my steps in and enjoy the view.

The campground is basically a level park with 30 amp electric only . Nice walk across the bridge to the Old Mill Museum. Excellent museum and only $5 admission. The inside of the mill will give you a new understanding of the process of making flour. Also, this is where you pay for the campground.

NEW PRICE $20 raised from $10. That would be OK if any sites were level and there was a sanitary dump. To level my 32' motorhome, the front tires were 3" off the ground. If the city wants to charge $20, they should fix the two short comings. Only sites 1 and 2 have 50amp. Be careful, the water pressure is excessive. I used my reducing valve and I was OK.

The park itself is nice. Entrance is tight and roads are narrow and rough. Best to come from Horton street then up to 9th to get to the park.

It's a nice reserved area corps of engineers Park. Spaces are $14 or $15 if you're a senior with the national park senior pass. We were in the first loop a lot of empty spaces on Halloween. Sites closest to the water are the $15 sites but all sites are very nice. Has 30 and 50 amp electric and water and an easy access sanitary dump.

We will plan to stay more than one day next time.
