Stayed in loop 4, site 185. Nice bushes and small trees along back of sites to create privacy between loop 4/5.
Couple large trees around our site (outer loop).
Trash/recycling at top of loop. Bathrooms (6 stalls)/showers (2) clean.
Filled our water upon arrival.
Check in was easy. Need rabies certificate for dog(s).
Out of state residents have $5 surcharge.
Stayed W-F. At 1030am the dump station had a huge line. We were carrying on to more camping so carried on.
Swimming area has lifeguard and good markers for depth. Small weedy/clay area where dogs can swim.
Enjoyed a movie at the neighboring Seneca Lake resort.
Lots of families, boaters and dogs.
Didn’t visit the museum.
Great base camp to explore the area.
The new cabins look amazing!

Arrived on Sunday, Aug 27th around 530ish.
We tow a 22’ TT and had several w/e sites to choose from. You check in at the office. They give you a map and then you drive around to find a site you like. We went with K26. It was fairly level front to back but left to write required us to be all the way up on our Andersen blocks.

We originally had booked in for 4 nights at $44 a night. Cash only. They have an ATM.
Laundry is clean. $1 wash $1 dry. Cold water k my for wash. 8 washer and 10 dryers. Quite busy. 8a-8p

We were enjoying the area so much we decided to make it an entire week. This got us the stay 7 nights pay for 6.

Shower house near the pool was clean and well cared for. $0.25 for 5 minutes. Lots of hot water. Some portable toilets and other bath houses throughout the campground.

Bus stop for the Island explorer is on site.

Pool was quite large. It is heated but we not quite enough for some of the cooler days we experienced.

They allow you to receive packages.

We got 6-8 channels with our OTA.

WiFi at our site was quite strong. Allowed us to stream shows.

Says two weeks max but looked like several folks spend a month or the season.

Lots of folks changing sites and reserving for friends coming.

Site K26 could easily have accommodated a longer rig. Likely up to 30’.

Friendly staff.

What a gem!

Needed an overnight with electric due to heat.

About 6 sites with 50amp electric and water. No dump station. Quite level. There is also a gravel parking lot at main entrance you could probably post up in too if other spaces full.

Donation based - please donate!

Flat field with back in spaces. Two others there. Very quiet.

Great playground, pool (seasonal), picnic shelter areas, ball fields, tennis court and basketball court. Trash cans throughout and a dumpster at main entrance. Very clean bathrooms that appear to be open 24/7

Booked last minute for the Sunday and Monday of Labor day weekend.
Got site 71 which was pretty shady. There looked to be a lot of no shows as there were other sites open.

Bath house near site needs a lot of TLC and more regular cleaning.

Fire pit at our site hadn’t been cleaned out.

New picnic table with extra length for grill was nice.

Plenty of room for our 22’ TT

Generator hours are 8-9a and 5-7p. I think one more time during day.

Couple RV water fills throughout. One dump station but we didn’t use.

Very quiet in the evening for a busy place.

Gorgeous views and good proximity for visiting Freeport and Portland.

Weak AT&T signal. There is a cabin with WiFi but we didn’t use it.

Woman at the gatehouse was delightful!

Just felt $35 + tax for dry camping was steep after staying at a W/E site for $44 a night in Bar Harbor with more amenities and better cared for.

Booked a day in advance.
Site 45 - 22ft TT. Leveling required. Good sized sites.
Shower house was good.
Toilets near our site was clean and well maintained
Little bits of trash all over
Sites aren’t swept or checked between reservations.
Beach area was looking rough. Likely due to understaffing.
The campground is showing its age overall.
Good location for exploring Lake George, Bolton Landing and the Adirondacks.
Dump Station was out of service with no plans to repair. We were offered to visit the other nearby campground to dump. We opted to dump at our next destination.
Poison Ivy throughout campground but they do have signs.
Nice fire pits.
A truck comes by at least once a day with wood for sale.
Surprised to pay same price as another State Park with electric.
