I have little doubt that Succor Creek Canyon would qualify as a National Park site were it located in New York or Massachusetts. The rhyolite domes rising our of the canyon are very spectacular. These combined with the high desert surounds and limited human traffic make for an unforgettable experience. Harve Waff, Professor Eneritus, Geological Sciences Dept., University of Oregon
