I went in January and it was beautiful! It was a little rainy and foggy. The contrast in colors was amazing. I got some great shots. We started at a trail that seemed to also have camping with permits during the spring/fall? We hiked about an hour in and then turned around to head back to the parking lot.
No complaints! Typical Atlantic Ocean beach. Softer sand in south beach the more north on the beach, the more rough the sand is. I would give it a 3.5 rating only because it's nothing out of the ordinary, but I would go back if the chance was given.
We drove to the top and took pictures along the cliff areas. There were trail heads, but we didn't have time to go on a hike. We were able to get close enough to take pictures of pilot mountain pretty close!
Beautiful bridge and view! It was worth the stop.
However, the address given is just before you cross the bridge, we ended up losing our GPS signal and driving around in that area before realizing we just needed to drive a little further.
Although it was a very cool waterfall,there was a lot of trash around it.
