“gentle hike through Wet Beaver Wilderness”

Wet Beaver Wilderness is a 6,155-acre (2,491 ha) wilderness area located in the Coconino National Forest in the U.S. state of Arizona. Wet Beaver Creek is a perennial stream with one major tributary, Dry Beaver Creek. The confluence of the two is at McGuireville, Arizona. Beaver Creek flows past Montezuma Well and Montezuma Castle before joining the Verde River near Camp Verde, Arizona.[ To get to the Bell trailhead: from the Phoenix area, take I-17 North toward Flagstaff, AZ. After passing Camp Verde, take exit #298 East towards Wet Beaver Creek. Follow the paved road for 2 miles, turning left at the sign for the trailhead. Go another 0.3 miles on flat, graded dirt road to the trailhead.

make sure you bring lots of water.. it's a fun hike for sure.. it's about 4 hours around trip.. we packed a light lunch and cooled off in the creek.. there's some nice spots to jump in and cool off :) worth checking out..the scenery is beautiful!

I went in January and it was beautiful! It was a little rainy and foggy. The contrast in colors was amazing. I got some great shots. We started at a trail that seemed to also have camping with permits during the spring/fall? We hiked about an hour in and then turned around to head back to the parking lot.
