Ok, so here is the scoop on this hike. We took 4 adults and 6 kids ranging in age from 5 years old to 10 and everyone had a wonderful time. The hike was just challenging enough and there was so much to see that no one got bored. All the way up and down the path there are waterfalls and camping areas - - not to mention stunning views. The path is totally tree covered and shady - super pleasant. To know before you go: pack lots of water, be prepared to handle your own trash and there are NO FACILITIES on the trail - - not even trash. Hats, bug spray and walking sticks are also smart packs. At the very end of the trail is where you get to the main water feature - - but please be advised that it is more of a cool crack in the mountain with water pouring out in a cool way. there is a small pool at the bottom of it, but not large enough or comfortable enough for us to swim. That said, there are lots of places to swim and lots of water falls along the entire path, and we stopped to swim in one of those. The last little bit of the hike is almost straight up with rocks, so be prepared. We clocked the total walk at more than 6 miles - - so it is not for the faint of heart. PLan at least 4 to 5 hours to do the whole thing.
