Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on May 01, 2022great bike paths, and a solid frisbee golf course are what keeps me coming back to this place. it's a beautiful part of Hamilton County and should be enjoyed by all.
One of my favorite places for hiking, biking and picnics. Enjoy the paddle boats as well!
We had a roomy site with a level gravel pad. There were trees in both sides but had no problem getting our 32’ travel trailer in and using our slide out. We
We’re able to use our 30 amp plug but use a surge protector. We didn’t and blow our two 40 amp fuses. No water at the sites but there is potable water and restrooms with showers. The camp ground is medium size but nestled in the woods and rolling hills. There is a playground near the middle of the grounds. About 10 minutes away are
stores, gas stations and restaurants. Downtown Cincinnati is about 20 or so minutes away. The park has lots to do with 2 paved bike/walking trails (1 and 7 miles) and a small small lake with fishing, canoes, paddle and pontoon boats to rent. There is a water playground near the lake. The park also has sand volleyball, golf and frisbee golf. There are horse trials but I believe no stables. About 15 minutes for the campground is a large dog park. Besides the fuses th only other issue we had was a raccoon that kept coming into our site at night while we were around the campfire. He wasn’t shy and was too close. There can also be coyotes at night. We like it here and will come back!

Not many parks allow camping for all season but this one does! The only downside is the shower house is closed and so are all the water amenities. They have a dump station and electric. We were there when the area had a big ice storm and many houses lost power, but we didn’t. The workers are very friendly here too.

The CG is definitely showing signs of neglect. With that said the bathhouse and toilets were very clean. Most sites are pretty close together and many are not suitable for RV's. I stayed in a 22' travel trailer and would not go much more than that unless I really knew the campground and sites very well. Some it would be nearly impossible to get level and most are back-in. My site, 145, is fairly secluded and tucked away near the end of the loop. Checked in on a Tue and Park was nearly empty. Very difficult navigating to the park. GPS kept wanting to take me to the Golf Course. Signage is sorely lacking. 40.00/nite was with all said and done! Oh! Almost forgot: The dump station in on a hillside that I would estimate to have a 15 to 20% slope!

This review is during the off season.
The campground is a single loop with electric hookups, potable water spigot, a dump station and playground. Dumpsters and recycling are near the shower house. Flush toilets are at the entrance and vault toilets are scattered around the grounds.
The low numbered sites are not level and more suited for tent camping. Larger rigs should stick to the end of the campground and be careful with their choice.
The dump station is $9 and on a steep incline. Potable water is uphill from the dump station.
We had 2 bars of Verizon 4G and 3 bars of AT&T 4G.

First time ever staying at this campground. Beautiful place. Hilly. Quiet and peaceful, but a couple things could really be improved upon. Camp store/Registration overlooks a lake. Entrance to campground is confusing. There is a sign, but no directional arrows indicating a turn for campground. We ended up going straight leading us to camp store/registration where they politely told us, in future, please park camper at site, then come check-in. We would’ve if that had been indicated in email or on invoice from online reservation.
There is a nice playground centrally located within the loop. Campsite numbers are not very visible. They are posted on electric hookup which is back off road. Each site had a picnic table and campfire pit. No water or sewer hookups. There is water available shortly after entrance and mid-loop. Nice restrooms and shower house. Critter bandits in the area. Our bad, we forgot to remove our garbage the night before. Sites are gravel and/dirt. Most are pretty uneven and could use attention. The dump station is very poor design. It is at entrance, BUT FACES WRONG DIRECTION for campers. Upon exiting loop you need to maneuver a 180 turn and back DOWNHILL or completely leave campground access road and turn around and re-enter backing UPHILL so that gray and black tanks are in correct side. BAD DESIGN!! There is a drop box attached to shower house for public dump station use which is nice to know.

Our fave campground hands down. Spots on top of hill are smaller, but spots on the bottom are large, flat lots. All spots are large and heavenly shaded. Shower house is so clean with plenty of spots for no wait. Campground is a one way loop with the dump station at the beginning/end. There are plenty of trails in the park along with fishing and boat/bike rentals. Highly recommend. We have camped her several times.

I chose site 145 from website info for its level grade. The campground is beautiful with lovely trees, and was quiet on a weeknight in May. The bath house was very clean.
