You could stay here for days, but we only visited for a couple hours. The girls wanted to visit Indiana, so we decided to go for a hike in Indiana to get out of the car and stretch our legs on the long road trip. The hike was a little rugged and great exercise. If you are into hiking, this would definitely be a place to consider for a longer stay. There is an entry fee to get in, so be sure check the web site before you go. I think it was around $9.00 for the car.
The two eleven-year-olds enjoyed this. They loved moving from one side of the street to the other, state hopping. It was certainly an awesome spot to stretch your legs.
This was a great spot for a descent price. Our visit was far from perfect, but it was not really the fault of the facility. Overall, the two eleven-year-olds were amazed at the truly unique rock formations. It was truly beautiful. The girls enjoyed the area and we even got a GeoCache on the property, if you're into that.
This place was great. The two eleven-year-olds were thoroughly entertained, but some of the stuff was beneath them. There is a ton to learn and do. We enjoyed the planetarium, but the show could have been a little better. If you GeoCache, there is one to grab right on the property out front too. The cache is monitored by the Adventure Science Center.
We had an incredible time at the Louisville Zoo. We frequent the Philadelphia Zoo and used our memberships for a discount here. The place was fairly empty, but that may have been because of the Independence Day holiday. The giraffes and sea lions were our favorite. The temporary butterfly exhibit was awesome as well. The two eleven-year-olds thoroughly enjoyed their time here. We ended up staying to close after only expecting to spend an hour or two here.
We loved the atmosphere. We loved the sides. We loved the soda. We loved the staff. and service. The hot dog was just okay. The kids did not really favor them either. Overall, we liked it, but I guess I just prefer my hot dog grilled.
We were in a hurry to get back to Fallingwater after traveling too far away from it to find food. The staff here was great, and they got us back on the road quickly. We had a bunch of food allergies, and they handled all of our needs perfectly. The rolls were sensational too. We had a superb dining experience here.
We did not take our two eleven-year-olds on the interior tour because we thought it may have bored them and required some planning. Looking around the grounds and outside the house was completely amazing. The two girls were in awe, and they are not art fans in general. It is a worthwhile stop for certain. We got some of the best pictures of the trip from this location.
We did not spend a long time here with our two eleven-year-olds, but it is a beautiful park. Obviously, the importance is why you go, and it is strange being in such a recently historic location. It was a great way to have conversations with our young children. There is a bit of walking involved, but that is not a negative for us at all.
This is not as westerly in Pennsylvania as my Roadtrippers map is showing, but it was a worthwhile little stop. The locals were exceptionally nice and took some pictures for us. It was a fun spot to spend a few minutes stretching our legs. The two eleven-year-olds liked it as well.
