You stay here for the proximity to the South Rim. Drive to Mather Point for sunrise. View the GC from multiple points. Come back to campground go back for more GC views.
This is not a resort. It is a dated campground that needs some renovations. The roads and sites are dirt and rocks. Sites are tight. 30 amp was spotty, WiFi okay. It was windy so can see why keeping area clean would be an endless task.
Steakhouse was a short walk and tasty. We found the staff to be friendly at check-in. We stayed in a 35’ 5th wheel 3 nights. No dog park. Laundry (didn’t use) and restrooms needed cleaning.
