Campground staff will be happy to assist you with Grand Canyon tour information and reservations.
The convenience of the proximity to the entrance to the Grand Canyon’s South Rim was very nice with this location, but BEWARE! The campground itself is not very well maintained and has a lot that needs to be updated. If we had it all to do over again.... 😕
This is an unattractive, poorly-managed, over-crowded, over-priced dump. Do not stay here.
Poor. would not recommend. Poor wifi charge for the showers, laundry at $3.25 per load (the Highest we've seen). The pads are in really rough shape and the access roads are rough. you would think that a place right next to the canyon that has 4 million visitors per year they could do a little maintenance.
Good open camping. Not much for shade, but within walking distance of gift shops, resturaunts, general store, grand canyon's IMAX theatre. The only downfall was there are not firepits at every camp site.
BEWARE!!! The convenience to the entrance of the parks south rim was very nice. But the campground is gross. It hasn't been updated and the bathrooms are disgusting! They don't know what TLC is. Very unclean. I would NOT stay again.
Most expensive RV park we’ve stayed at but it’s location is no other. 10 minute drive from the Grand Canyon, this allowed us to watch the sun set and rise. Clean facilities and friendly staff
You stay here for the proximity to the South Rim. Drive to Mather Point for sunrise. View the GC from multiple points. Come back to campground go back for more GC views.
This is not a resort. It is a dated campground that needs some renovations. The roads and sites are dirt and rocks. Sites are tight. 30 amp was spotty, WiFi okay. It was windy so can see why keeping area clean would be an endless task.
Steakhouse was a short walk and tasty. We found the staff to be friendly at check-in. We stayed in a 35’ 5th wheel 3 nights. No dog park. Laundry (didn’t use) and restrooms needed cleaning.
Great location to and from south rim! I don’t get the negative reviews, we had large pull through sites, 3 sites adjoining cause we were traveling with friends.
Didn’t even see sites that were described on other reviews as being too small
I almost changed parks after reading reviews, glad I didn’t!
They asked when we checked in if we were going to stay for three nights, cause they don’t do refunds, which was generous of them, but I assured then we were staying all three nights.
I think guests may book more days then needed to explore the Grand Canyon and try to get a refund to leave early. There is so much to see in the area , Bryce and Zion are close by too. Most RV parks don’t give refunds for early departure, understandably!
Next time I come back, I’d stay here again, the location is perfect! You can visit the Canyon and come back to camp and still have time to visit again same day.
Expensive, sad place, extra charge for everything.
The wifi signal is bad.
Can not be recommended
This place is by far the WORST campground I have ever stayed at!! Not only is the campground dirty and under kept, the staff is so rude and unfriendly. Not helpful at all!!!
We had no choice but to tent camp, everything else was sold out and we wanted a nice hot shower. The tent spots were far from bathrooms and next to a "private road", which was so noisy with vehicles driving by all night. Once we got to our site, the ground was full of weeds and rocks. It was so disappointing, not to mention that you can tent camp for free everywhere else.
To make it better, the so expected showers never happened. The bathrooms were so dirty, full of mud and there's an $2.00 fee for 8 minutes of a shower!!! This was never mentioned upon checking in. What an embarrassment to those traveling to visit this beautiful country. Never again will I stay here!!
If you want to tent camp. Just go stay somewhere else for free and use the camping service showers. Avoid the rudeness and the noise.
