Sites were a little tight but we did not feel crowded. We tow a 27 ft travel trailer. Campgrounds were clean. Garbage is picked up at the site every morning. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Showers closed. Cute little chapel in the campground. Friendly neighbors. Can hear cars from nearby highway at night. Relatively level gravel site.

We had a wonderful stay here. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Clean laundry room, restrooms and showers. Close to many hiking and running trails. 10 minute drive to downtown Durango. One big negative is the spots are VERY close together. Gravel sites which were pretty level. WiFi was inconsistent. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed at Rusty’s for 7 weeks and can honestly say it is the overall the best RV stop we’ve ever been at! Rusty and Tim (the owners) have created a family atmosphere. They treat their guests like family. RV spaces are huge (all pull through) at 150 feet with large spacing. Huge, clean whirlpool - probably 5 ft deep. Comfortable clubhouse with great outside seating. Pristine laundry facility. 1.2 mile path around the property. Extremely clean and well-sanitized during this challenging coronavirus crisis. Ten miles from one of the best birding areas in the world! In a dark sky area that attracts many stargazers. At the edge of the Chiricahua Mountains that have hundreds of miles counof spectacular trails. It is somewhat off the beaten path but absolutely worth going there. You will not be disappointed. In a county that as of May 18th had ZERO COVID-19 cases!

We stayed here in November and the campground was very quiet with very few spots taken but I can imagine that "on-season" it gets really crowded. Lots of trees (and acorns dropping on the roof that sounded like bombs!). Sites are fairly level but they are gravel. We originally were in site 54 but had to move because even with leveling blocks we could not get level. Stay away from #54. Park is clean. Bathrooms nice and clean. Great location. RV space was sufficient for our rig and tow vehicle. Spots are pretty close to one another but we did not experience this because no one parked near us.
